Double vinyl LP pressing. Housed in a gatefold sleeve, the inner sleeves features all the lyrics. Digitally remastered and expanded 25th Anniversary Edition. Brett Anderson believes that Suede's debut album, winner of the Mercury Music Prize in 1993, probably has more cultural resonance than any of their other albums, as a pre-cursor to Britpop and a supplanter of grunge. It is also home to four ground-breaking singles. The album included those four singles "The Drowners", "Metal Mickey", "Animal Nitrate" and "So Young", but none of the nine b-sides. These are now included on a second LP, along with a cover version of "Brass in Pocket".

In another thrilling installment of "buying things I already have multiple copies of," I finally broke down and got the 30th Anniversary remaster of the first suede album. I had held off because 30 years ago I went to a great deal of trouble to get every single and B-side, including the elusive Brass in Pocket, which was only available as a music paper tape compilation track... but last week I was listening to my old CD copy and thinking that it sounded a bit thin and tinny - and I am happy to report that this remaster sounds excellent!And let's be honest, having everything in one place is nice. Now that I think about it this is the first physical copy I have had of the piano version of My Insatiable One, which at the time I could only find on the Japanese CD, which I never shelled out the money for back then...anyway...Soooooooo many memories.5 stars. 10 stars. A thousand stars!
