Worth the money
The algae removal brush works very well on fresh, solid algae. It easily picks up and holds algae for easy removal from pond. The algae clings to the bristles, so I use a water hose to flush the brush clean between uses. I also appreciate the company that sales this product. They are very professional and definitely stand behind their product.

Helpful cleaner
We experienced an algae bloom this past spring, and found quite a bit of algae growing on the rocks in my pond. When we do a clean out, this does help loosen the algae. I took away one star because the head of the pole seems like it may bend if I scrub too hard. It hasn’t yet but I worry. PS I also also bought a wide tooth comb to pull out the String algae off of the brush head and that works great

Works a little too well
This pulls the algae up out of the pond extremely efficiently, but it traps it so well it is a little tough to get it out of the brush. You end up needing another handheld brush to get the algae out of this brush, which I guess is not a big deal. Overall I'm happy with it, and I wish I hadn't wasted all that time trying to use a net or a broom.

Just buy it.
This brush is perfect for removing string algae. You will need to get a large tooth comb for cleaning the nasty stuff off the brush. The brush makes the job much easier.

Works good to remove String Algae.
The only issue is the bristles on the end come loose. I fixed it by crimping the end with my bench vice.

Brush breaks up pretty quickly
Good intent just brush needs to be sturdier.

This brush is awesome for reaching those hard spaces
I had string algae growing this spring in my new pond and I was able to reach across the pond to remove the algae. All you do is twirl the brush and the algae wraps around it and then remove. It helped a lot because in order for string algae chemicals to work you have to remove the majority of it. I did this and applied the chemical and all is looking good

Works mostly
While the brush does help to collect algae from rocky pond sides or river rock bottoms, it's small size/brush surface area makes it difficult to remove any larger bloom or large pond that is not drainable. Mucky dead algae/plant materials can be disturbed, but then must be scooped up with a net. The nylon bristles do not always "grab" chara algae well.
