I don't know how I lived without this tool!
You need to start a screw back in a deep, dark corner and there is no way your hand is going to fit? It would have taken fifteen tries and 3 barked knuckles, but with this tool its in and ready to be tightened before you even know it. It does work better on flat heads as many have stated, but if you take it easy it will work on Phillips too.

Nice Proto tool
The tool is well made and looks professional. The tool works well on small slotted head screws but will not grab a standard Philips head screw. Not recommended for use on Philips head screws.

Great tool l
Neatly holds a flat or phillips screw great if you have big hands or working in tights spots where its critical you can drop you screw in your work area, i use them for those little screws to put plug and switch covers in, a necitity for every tool box

Dropped screw or sane job
This thing is so useful that I recommend for any toolbox. Home or automotive it will keep you sane when you have to "thread" a small screw into a tight space. This particular unit doesn't appear as well made a the original one I have, but It's still totally functional. Always remember the last time you had to fumble with a dropped screw, and add this to your stocking stuffer list.

Sometimes these are your best choice
Does phillips and slots screws one from each end. I have used these for decades without any complaints ever. 5 Star Rated it fits in your shirt pocket like a pen with its convenient pen clip. Eliminates all bulk from the user

Meh
I had mixed results with it. Worked well sometimes. Unfortunately it occasionally launches your precious tiny screw through the air, and apparently into another dimension as you will never see it again. Not for that bizarre metric oddball screw that you can’t afford to lose. Find another way to start that one.

Just what I needed. Worked perfect on that carburetor overhaul!

Perfect
Flat blade works great, the Phillips side not as good.
