Fixed my slipping clutch VN1600A
My clutch felt like it was slipping in 3rd gear on my 2003 Vulcan 1600 Classic. The OEM diaphragm spring is well known to cause this problem. Install wasn't too bad. My slipping is gone.Unexpected bonus: my bike rides so much better / quieter on the freeway now that 60 mph requires fewer RPMs.The only downside is the clutch lever requires a lot more force to engage. I'd say double the effort.

I just installed this clutch spring and plates. It is very aggressive which is the reason I bought it. Note that the picture of the small compression springs is not what you want and...not what you get.I am looking forward to seeing how this combination works pulling my bike camper. Also note...the clutch will be much stiffer and it will be very noticeable on the clutch lever

It’s not the same as the picture
Not sure what I got it shows six springs but what I got was a big spring flat washer

Perfect fit, much better grab.
Very positive clutch engagement, especially with new Barnett friction plates. Doesn't seem to be all that much harder to use than stock spring. Shifting has a much tighter feel, couldn't be happier!

The only clutch components you need.
You need to be a heavy hitter to operate this clutch spring, for the first couple months, the more its used it warms up, but for that first month you'll need to be gorilla to use this thing in traffic, after a solid year, its worked in and working as expected and is far the best choice for clutch upgrade.

Believe it when it says "Heavy Duty"
This is a heavy duty spring and required that the lever on the motorcycle be shimmed to engage the clutch properly. With that done it performs well and seems that it will reduce the problem with clutch plates wearing quickly.
