These are great bases. This is my second set. My first set was left behind when we moved by accident. They last for years and years outside. They are a pain to fill with the sand, however. The design could be better for getting the sand in quickly and efficiently, but you only have to do it once, so I guess it isn't that bad. I highly recommend these for all pole benders.

Bought some pvc from the hardware store and these stands worked great. My daughter has not stopped using them.

These pole bending bases are the real deal. They fit the 1 1/2 inch PVC pipe perfectly. It was easy to install sand in the bottom of these for added weight. Took no time for them to be delivered.

Setting up a pole run, key, Idaho, birangle, stilly, half-8, or other such course, these are exactly what you want, both for actual events or for training.Hint: Don't fill the base with sand for training such that they are both easier to use *and* easier to knock down. For competition make sure you use the right amount of sand. (And make sure it is dry sand if it gets cold in your area such that freezing the sand will not expand and burst the base)We really like these.

Recommend the base but the poles that are 3-piece poles I do not recommend
