How does this compare to Teavana's German Rock Sugar?

Now that I look at the rock sugar product, I can tell you that the beet sugar is very different. The beet sugar looks, feels and tastes identical to the cane sugar you'd get in the supermarket. You can literally use it interchangeably with cane sugar......no one would be able to tell the difference. That rock sugar is something else entirely

Is this beet sugar bleached? I thought beet sugar was naturally brown as in the Teavana brown beet sugar rock crystals.

I have been using beet sugar for over 60 years. It has never been brown, always white. Pure cane sugar is brown when unbleached, not beet sugar.

does it raise your blood sugar

I've done some research on beet Sugar and found that no matter if it is red beets, golden beets or white beets they are in the same family! and after reading over a hundred scientific reviews from different universities and health pages in the internet; They all say that beets, beet juice etc.... lowers your blood sugar!

Is this a form of rock sugar?

If you're looking for the beet rock sugar from Teavana, this is a granulated version of the same stuff. However, it's granulated & not in rock form. I love it in my Teavana loose-leaf tea.
