Very durable inflatable cushion !
This cushion is very durable . Its real rubber . Not hard to inflate after you figure out how to do it . Don't try to inflate all the way . Instructions say no more then 3 inches in height . I filled about 2/1/2 inches and thats just right for me . Very comfortable and contours to the shape of my rear end ! You will need to figure out how much to fill it up for your comfort . This is much nicer then I expected it to be . Its bigger then I expected and the opening in the center is plenty big enough for me . I am a small woman 120 Lbs. but it would work great for a larger person too ! I am very pleased this going to be such a help with my problem .I have hemorrhoids and I am sitting very comfortably now . Again this very durable .Real rubber and brass valve . Should last several years if cared for properly . Mine doesn't have any strong odor that some reviewers mentioned . This is a very nice durable inflatable cushion . I highly recommend this product . Happy sitting !

Just like the "olden days" ones, which is what I wanted after ordering a half dozen of the newer
Your degree of satisfaction for most of the newer velour covered donuts and U-shaped cushions is going to vary depending on:- whether you have hemorrhoids, fistula or other surgery, perianal abscess, tailbone injury, you name it. The way you want your butt protected varies according to the injury or need.- weight: the same cushion that is going to meet one need perfectly for a lighter person won't meet the same need for a heavy person well at all.I found that though I could get some utility out of most of the newer cushions, now that I really need protection for a surgery, to be prepared I need at least one cushion that is very adjustable. This is it.The material is probably better than you expect if you want one of the old school red rubber donuts. That's what this is, even though it looks a little too shiny in the photos. It's close enough to the old red rubber of the '80s or '90s that if that's what you're after you'll likely be relieved when you unpack. The nozzle seems to work well and effectively, and for me that's the most important part because I want to be able to inflate the donut more or less so that it'll be workable for different placements. I don't know before surgery what the needs are going to be, but I feel like thanks to the inflatable/deflatable flexibility I'll probably be able to meet them, where the prefab memory foam cushions might just miss the mark.Satisfied with this, glad it was available to purchase.

Works Well But Doesn't Last Long
If I were writing this review within six months of buying the product, I would give it five stars. The product appears to be of thick, durable rubber, and the valve also seems to be of solid construction. I bought the inflatable ring cushion after unsatisfactory experiences with several different types and thicknesses of padded cushions, and I was pleased with the results, especially in comparison. I suffered some complications from a biopsy for prostate cancer which have outlived the disease for which it tested. I have completed radiation therapy and have reason to believe that the cancer is gone, yet sitting down for any period of time is uncomfortable, and sometimes very painful. The Carex inflatable ring cushion works very well, although I still have to rotate between that and padded cushions, a kneeling chair, and standing up with my MacBook on a music stand. I am self employed, working behind a computer for a living, so most of my waking moments are spent on my computer, so I suppose that my demands may be higher than the average person's. Although the inflatable cushion is more comfortable than any of the others, with the exception of standing for short periods of time, it too becomes painful after long durations. I have been using the cushion for just over six months now, and last week it deflated. At first I thought that perhaps the valve had inadvertently been turned, so I blew it up again and it lasted the rest of the day. The following day however, it deflated again. Then it began deflating several times a day. The product me cost just over ten dollars so I don't suppose that it is unreasonable for me to have to replace it twice a year, but I have ordered another, non-inflatable type of donut cushion to see if I find it to be at least as comfortable. If not, I won't hesitate to buy another of these and just plan on replacing it every six months. Even at that, it's a pretty good buy.

Best one! Durable and reliable!
It's better than the vinyl ones!!! Much better!😊 😊 😊 lasts longer!! Only bad thing about them is they hurt my butt a little. But I had a really bad fall 2 1/2 months ago! My bruise is still healing! As soon as the rain stops and I can get out of my driveway I am going to the e/r! I just got too much damage! It's not healing. But it is much better than sitting on anything else!! Much more lasting! Product got here very fast! The price was right! If I need any other medical supplies, I will order from these people again! The vinyl cushions would get holes very fast! But I have to sit and sleep with these inflatable cushions because of my injuries. But this one is the best!!! Very durable!! Very long lasting! I can even use this in the bathtub 🛀 I went through 5 vinyl cushions in the last 2 months! 2 of them since the first of this month! Best one ever!! I would recommend a piece of egg crate type cushioning because these are kind of hard! But it could be my injury too! I highly recommend this product!

DO NOT BUY - Popped while being only partially inflated
I DO NOT Recommend this product. It popped while being only partially inflated with nobody sitting on it! I filled it with air and then let out a bunch of air so that it was squishy and comfortable. Then I set it on the coffee table while I watched TV. (I purchased it to use during sitz baths.) About an hour later, it popped and the air rushed out.The kicker? "This item is ineligible for return." WTF? What a waste of money.
