The Muffler worked !!!!!
Within 20 minutes of receiving the part I had it installed in the tractor and it fit perfectly !!! The tractor is quiet again !!!!!

Apparently these must fail mostly at the weld that holds the mounting bracket. I tried to fix it with epoxy which was bad unless you like smoke and probably cancer. I went every where in town trying to get one locally but as usual, amazon was a better source. Takes maybe 5 minutes to install and the mower sounds like new again.
