No problems. My condo office programed it. Opens the gate as I expected. Would buy additional ones.

**NOT** for your garage door
This is commonly known as a "gate transmitter" for a security gate, such as those at gated communities. The device itself is *NOT* programmable. It contains a unique 5-digit code stenciled on the back of it which your gate system administrator has to program into the gate system computer, such as a Linear or DoorKing system. As I said, this 5-digit code on the back of the unit has to be unique within the gate system. There cannot be any dupes, so purchasing these devices onesey-twosey at random from internet sellers can be a little risky as to whether or not it can be made to work on your system or whether your system administrator will even agree to program it in for you, as they normally want to be the ones in control of issuing these so when they purchase them (in bulk quantities, typically 25 at a time, they can be assured of sequentially-numbered transmitters and staying within their number blocks. If you don't understand this, then don't buy it, because likely it won't do what you're expecting it to do.

Although the unit looks like it would work as a substitute device it is NOT "Programmable" as the description states. Instead it is a single code xmitter that can NOT be programmed itself and must be programmed into your base system to recognize its unique & UNCHANGEABLE code. This is a problem for overtaxed entry systems where you need to copy an existing remote - i.e. PROGRAM it.

Nice
It works fine, better than a key one and good range, the administrator had to program it.
