Works as advertised, and better than “smart” remotes
This device does the job - like any other factory remote, you press a button and the device responds immediately, fantastic.Having tried a couple of other “smart” universal remotes, dealing with their quirks (like waiting for my tv remote to turn on before I can pause a movie) was infuriating.Do yourself a favour, if this supports what you want, don’t go more complicated. My only negative comment is that it needs 4 (!) triple A batteries, and by default every button lights up unnecessarily when you use it. A quick google search showed that you can turn most of these off by pressing and holding the top left and bottom right buttons together until the ring flashes, although the ring around the button will still flash on each press.

Tv Volume&power only
Set up Doesn’t work- tried all suggested codes on the ‘one for all’ customer help page (20+). which then says contact customer service if the code’s suggested aren’t working or partially work. Partially meaning just the power and volume button works. Then it redirects you to the same web page, because there is no other customer support in the UK just the site. Basically READ THE SMALL PRINT on their site- on all remote controls they can’t guarantee compatibility!? So why advertise with all the Tv brands. Waste of money. Refund demanded

No fuss design, simple to use
I really like this remote, I got it for an older person that was struggling between a two different remotes, and a fiddly small remote for the Apple TV box. He now finds it much easier to use and manage between devices.SETUP: easy enough in principle - the set-top box code worked first go, but the TV wasn't supported by a quick code, and I had to program every function manually - surprising as it was a Sony, albeit an older LCD model. I programmed in a macro to switch inputs, something my father-in-law was struggling with, which was easy and has been very reliable so far.FUNCTIONS: with just a TV and streamer box, this worked perfectly. It also supports a sound bar - but that's it. If you've more devices, look elsewhere. All the buttons are programable, so there is actually a lot of flexibility for basic remote. The Netflix and other buttons are very useful, and were easy to set up. The Apple TV works with it very well.THE GOOD: the instructs are pretty good, it took me about 30min in total to get it set up, even with the manual programming for the TV and the macro setup. It's small but not too small, with positive buttons, and the 4 AAA batteries give it a reasonable amount of weight. In use the design makes it great for people that need something simple.DOWNSIDES: 2 devices plus a sound bar is pretty limited for most people, but with a lot of folks just using a smart TV or a TV plus streamer, this makes for a useful extra remote. Even though it says easy setup, you still need a reasonable amount of ability to do follow the instructions and do a macro if needed. Also, you can't teach it if you've lost your original remote, so you really do need the codes to work then. Also, it doesn't come batteries, so remember to order some of those too if you don't have 4 AAA ready to go. Finally, there is no number keypad, so if you watch channels a long way apart you're in for a lot of scrolling!All-in-all, if the TV codes had worked and it came with batteries I'd given it 5 stars. Nice little remote.

Awful setup for Apple TV 4th Gen
I bought this for my parents, as they struggle with the Apple TV's remote trackpad, and to combine it with the soundbar and TV. I initially used the 'Simple-set' setup process which already has the Apple TV programmed in, and you don't have to type a code in. This was a disaster, it did not work at all - non of the buttons worked except the power button, which was actually acting as a home button. I then tried to use the code method of setting up; 31146 for Apple TV. However, there are no instructions that say you need to reset the device to override existing controls. Eventually, I found how to reset the remote. This time I setup using the code method and it seemed to work fine with the Apple TV. I then used the learning method to teach the controls to my TV and soundbar, that worked find - despite having to repeat the process a few times.Overall, if you have an Apple TV 4th Gen just set up with the code from the outset to avoid problems, rather than using simple-set. Once working the remote works fine, it is just the setup process that was disappointing.
