WizKids DC Dice Masters: Justice League: Starter Set

This game is simple to learn, but takes cunning to master. And it's cheap! I LOVE that it has both dice AND cards. My 8 year old daughter enjoys the game, my 14 year old daughter does as well - and now my wife is into it. We've bought only two starter sets (this and War of Light), but have so much to play with we don't feel like we need to buy any boosters. Time will tell.Many have compared this to Magic: The Gathering. That's a fair comparison. But, like I said - this game is simple to learn. And it's simple to teach! You can take someone who's never played an have them beating you in 5 or 10 minutes. And I find Dice Masters much more fun. The dice add enough chance and unpredictability to allow for anyone to win, really. And it doesn't take a lot of space to play. On top of that? I can carry it around in my man-purse, ready to play with anyone who is willing.

This game is sooo much fun! The nice part is you can split the set 50/50 and split the cost. It shipped fast but the box was slightly damaged but nothing inside was messed up. I thought it would be confusing but i tought it to my 7 year old brother. Now we play dice master all the time. The best replay value ever.but prepare to get adiccted to buying foil packs.

The contents arrived OK but the box looks like it spent an hour in a laundry dryer. Lots of shelf wear.

Steep learning curve and kinda disappointed it doesn't come with a play mat, even a paper one. The one in the middle of the booklet is not usable and not good for two players!

I have this and one of the Avengers Dicemasters sets. I like them a lot. They're interchangeable and the games are fun. You go through the starter set characters fairly fast, but there are others available in the booster packs. As for the DC Dice Masters specifically, I thought they maybe could've done with one extra 3-energy character (there's like one in the starter set, and the rest cost between 4 and 8). The characters have mostly high attack ratings compared to the Avengers starter sets. Also, I like some of the new basic action cards in the DC set. A fun game for two players.

I was clearly shipped a damaged box. Embarrassing use of tape to try and hold dice in box. I won't even try and open the box as I'm worried what it might look like inside. Instead, its immediately going back.

Fun game. Some may not be in love with how you can draw the game out, but there are houserules around this. Fun head to head CDG.
