Metal is sturdy

It arrived in good shape and has lots of pans for filling. It will suit my purposes as I was looking for a way to put a lot of gouache tube colors in a convenient palette and they have the biggest pan set. It is a nice size and weight and the tin is very sturdy. The set up is a little different than the usual pan set up but will work fine. The pans are secured in metal strips that lock them in so they aren't going to fall out of the tin or come loose. Yes there are some sharp edges when the pans sit in the insert but are easily avoided if careful when you remove the insert; if you're concerned about that it could be sanded. The rest of the tin that you actually hold and handle has smooth edges. It has 2 mixing palettes, 3 if you remove the pan holder. There is a handle on the back for holding while you paint and it's a good comfortable placement. I'm an Arteza fan because they have nice products at good prices and their customer service is outstanding, they are very responsive and very nice. Anybody who has a problem should contact them, they will do everything to make it right.

This palette comes in a sturdy tuck box and had no dents on arrival. The half pans were very securely placed inside and all parts accounted for. I would order it again for other palettes of paint.

Got this to swap over my Windsor Newton Cotman set as I’d bought a few extra single colors & they wouldn’t fit in the original box. The pans sit a little loose in the clips since they’re smaller than the empty pans it came with, but it’s not any worse than the original container the pans came in. It IS magnetic, so I will be buying magnetic strip tape to stick to the bottom of the pans to secure them a bit more.I was also able to fit 13 pans across the top row, which means you could fit 26 total if you use the clip strip thing, but you could definitely fit more if you took that out & used magnets.

This has just enough pans for me to create and add to my custom palette and then some for my paintings. Tin is sturdy and has a mixing palette as well. Excellent for travel although it is a larger pan palette so if you’re ok with that then I’d say get it.

This palate works well.I like the fact that you can take each well out and fill it and put it back.

This is a simple, sturdy palette with everything you need and nothing more. Space for 24 half pans. Nice fold-out panel with shallow wells, just what a watercolor artist wants. The enamel is smooth and even, not prone to staining. The black exterior is classic. There is a lot to love about this palette.There’s space between the two rows of half pans and if it were a bit further apart you could add more colors but this is fine as is.I especially like the weight of the palette. It’s not flimsy or cheap and if well cared for will last for years.
