Toshiba CR1616 3V Lithium Coin Cell Battery Pack of 5

Good value from a trusted brand. The battery is for the key fob of 2006-2011 Honda civic LX. It may also fit to other key brand as well. It has a long life and is easy to install.

So far have only used one and it’s lasted me two years already. Would recommend if you need new car key battery.

Got these for car key fob. Fortunately I’ve had them for a while but haven’t needed them yet. Reliability I can’t speak for but the price was nice.

So I’ve been very weary and careful whenever I buy battery online, since you can compare the spec and reviews but you don’t know what the actual package of battery from seller will be. What I mean is this Toshiba battery is rated for 10 years shelf life, same as the manufacturer website. I ordered mines in 2020 July, I received a pack that is expiring in 2024 November.So yes a pack that is over 5 years old, but hey as long as there’s no sign of leaking and holding voltage and works, that’s all that matters in my view. Better to get a slightly old stock (not expired) and genuine new sealed from OEM than the cheap yer unknown knock-offs.I really wanted to find battery that is made in Japan, since my Lexus remote key fob came with Energizer brand CR1616 that was made in Japan. But I checked and newer Energizer nowadays are made in China (occasionally other countries too, depending on the batch ID). These Toshiba battery is made by the Japanese company headquartered in Kawasaki Japan but manufactured in China. Yes, made in China. Not a deal breaker as long as its partnership and under manufacturing guidance from a reputable brand like Toshiba; even Tesla is making their Chinese version cars batteries in China too, so I’m sure the Chinese has “matured/learned” from all the years multiple big companies’ technology and manufacturing processes to make good batteries too.I’m not gonna bash/hate them just because of politics or anything. Just sticking to the mechanical and engineering facts here. These batteries hold up charge (3.37V for a 3V battery) with no leaks after 5 years, if that’s not a statement of quality (one of many factors), then I don’t know what is.

I bought these for a Honda Crv remote key fob. I could not find them locally except at the dealership. I am happy they worked perfectly and arrived quicker than me finding time in my schedule to go to the dealership. overall positive and recommend.

My key fob died on Sunday afternoon and I then found the spare was also dead. I ordered new batteries Sunday evening and and repaired both fobs Monday afternoon.

Ordered a 5-pak 1616 and tested on arrival using pro multi-battery capacity tester.On 2 of 5 read 100% capacity.1 read 60%.2 read 40%.These are supposed to be fresh batteries at 100% of capacity. Totally unacceptable.
