Easy operating mechanical lock
Pro:- Easy to setup.- No battery, no WiFi to worry about disruption.- Solid. Nice looking.Con:- Normally, when you open a door, turning left to open (visually moving the the locking stem to the left) and turning right to close (moving the stem to the right to engage the stem into the door jamb). However, this lock is opposite. Left to lock and right to close. This is a major troublesome confusion. Hope the manufacturer should take this into consideration and revise it.

Great product but…
I’ve owned 2 of these locks, 1st one works great n gives me a sense of security. No electrical parts to go bad. The second one I had to return because the screw holes didn’t line up, used one screw, and couldn’t work (didn’t lock in the lock position). Customer service was excellent in returning it and sending me a replacement. Haven’t tried putting it on yet, crossing my fingers hoping the screws line up.

Got a returned item from the seller
The product is good.Just what I was looking for.Install would have gone smooth, except this looked like a defective return.Keys were not in the correct slot, screws were not in the package, missing two screws and had one extra screw, worse is the latch was bent. looked like someone tried to install it, and pounded on it.I managed to fix it as best as possible, and it works 90%.It took long to arrive, and I couldn't wait for another.Who ever the seller is, is nothing but a crook, selling defective returns.

Working great, just what I wanted
Some of the videos on youtube are not fair regarding the quality of this lock. The buttons are great, no way to feel or see a difference to open the lock or get to the inside of the touchpad. The key hole can be easily filled with putty and that will make it only usable with the buttons. But the lock could not be bumped or picked though the keyhole, which is easy for thieves to do these days, to all standard keyed locks. Inside, the parts are delicate and may not hold up for 20 years due to wear, but that is unknown now, I have only used the locks for over 6 weeks now. They are VERY convenient, out of the weather but outdoor use. It is a deadbolt, so the bolt goes much deeper than a typical latch and that requires some filing. I used a dremel and it works smooth and easy. Maybe not for a person that cannot use tools very well, but for a typical handy person this is perfect. The manual is okay, but there is a youtube video which shows how to install, and I found that helpful. First lock took an hour total, but the second took maybe 7 minutes to install. It is pretty big as you can see, but I put one on the top lock of a security door. I was going to put some wood behind it, but it is so sturdy I opted not to, just the lock. If it gets pried I am confident that the lock will be so messed up as not to open. Thus, foiling a thief.

10 months service life
Mine failed after about 10 months. The internal parts of the unit are not working as they once were. I’ve come home several times to find that the door didn’t actually lock due to the malfunction going on inside. It seems to grind and stick together. If it was designed for an owner to disassemble and repair I could fix it most likely, however if you attempt to pry it open, it no longer fits together and is total garbage at that point. Safety and also Durability is definitely lacking. I can factor out interior rust because it far away from any moisture and our humidity is considered desert, average 30%.

No Batteries Required, Mechanical Lock
**Update: 3-5-2024I am still fairly happy with this lock, but there is a plastic flange on the doorknob shaft behind the knob that breaks easily. There are 2 small plastic pins that hold it in place. Once broken, the knob wobbles a bit and dust and dirt may get into the mechanism. I used some JB Weld putty to make a flange to replace it. It works OK. I painted it silver so it doesn't stand out too much.**Original Review:I bought this lock to use on my utility room door which is adjacent to my back door but separate from the house. I go back and forth a lot when doing laundry, so I wanted to eliminate the need for a key, but still have the room secure. You program the code by exchanging the metal adapters behind the buttons. Keep in mind you can do between 3 and 6 digits for your code and the code doesn't have to be entered in any particular order. In other words, you can do 246B or 4B62 and either will unlock the door. Once unlocked, turning the knob clockwise will open the deadbolt. Turning the knob counter clockwise will lock the deadbolt. You can also lock or unlock the door on the inside by simply turning the knob. The outer knob on the locked side of the door takes a little more effort to turn than a traditional knob. The smooth metal can be a little harder to grip. A wide rubber band around the knob helps with this. If you use the knob a lot, you may want to add lubrication behind the mechanical numbers every 6 months or so. Something medium thick that won't run out.I am very happy with this product and I hope it lasts a long time. The numbers and letters don't stand out well, but I am used to their position and can put the code in even when it is dark.

Well made...and would buy again.
I use to work with locks of all types and can tell you...this is a good one! Easy to configure, and easy to install. Also, the buttons don't stick like a lot of mechanical combination locks, which cause multiple try's. Also, the solid construction and key for back up...makes this is a great lock.
