My child is 14 months old and this purchase has made a tremendous difference to our lives. The baby is unable to open it. There are two locks. Top and bottom. The opening push buttons on top of the moving door are such that they have to be pressed together to open the gate. This is super convenient to keep the baby from going to a certain part of the house.I saw youtube videos of similar gates to figure out installation. The booklet that they give isnt helpful. But i could easily fix the gate by my self. It requires attention and knowledge of how its done easily available on youtube. No nails required, doesnt ruin your wall either.Make sure you measure the width of the space where you want to fix and its compatible with the width described on the product.DONT CUT THE STRING BETWEEN THE GATE AND THE SIDE PANEL BEFORE FIXING THE GATE. If you do, it will show as if the product is faultyas the gate will tilt. Its not a mfg defect.if fixed properly, the gate sits perfectly with the side panels.I am going to buy one more of this gate. Its super useful.

Easy to assemble hardly took 10 mins..serves the purpose..safe and strong..also can be fitted with or without screw both options..the size is perfect and can be adjusted according to the breadth of ur door..my 2 year old is safe frm kitchen😊

Just now fixed it. Initially the door looked unaligned with the lock. Thought defective piece and was thinking of returning. Then while reading the comments saw that fixing the door to the walls (when we adjust the nuts)the door correctly aligns. So it is not a misalignment and is a feature it seems. It was a breeze fixing the door and the extra 10 cm extension piece i bought. (though it was different in color black) Any body can fix it in 5 mins. The door closes automatically and tightly. very good product. you for it.

Not strong enough

Such a helpful product... It eventually reduced my stress & strain about my baby who keep on going to kitchen and made everything clumsy... So many days I thought to buy this but thinking about the price I m not sure about worth .... But atlast I bought it last week ... This is worth each & every penny of our money... Very easy to install... Harmless. No need any equipment.. u can easily change the place wer u want .. no words to explain.. just buy it

Very easy to install. I had to buy an extension as the main gain fell just a few inches short of my requirement, so please do measure your demension once and order the extension of required. Very sturdy and keeps all toddlers and pets out of where ever you want to stop them from entering
