I can't speak for how well this will do on thicker hair, but for my one-year-old whose hair is not super thick and just needs a trim every few months, this works absolutely perfect! Very quiet, you can hardly hear it buzzing, and with a bottle and something to watch, he did pretty well with being still. Didn't scare him at all.

Love love love this!!!!!!! My son is almost two and a half. He has so much hair and it’s so thick that he requires a haircut every four weeks. Six weeks is pushing it. It’s so hard to go to the salon that often and he’s officially to the age that he hates hair cuts. I ordered this and wow. Just wow! I have zero experience cutting hair. In fact, when I told my mom I was going to start cutting his hair she was partially laughing and partially concerned. This little trimmer is bad ass. SO EASY to use! So much quieter than salon trimmers! It works really well and I loveeee all the guards that came with it and actually had fun playing with the lengths. His hair turned out so cute and better than most haircuts I’ve paid for. My son was not intrigued by the little airplane and other toys, he threw those at the wall. But I kept suckers in his hands and he was fine with getting a trim. I can’t believe this product is so cheap!

I bought this to trim my boys' hair. With the crisis going there was no other way. I have it once and a happy with the product so far. So here's my two cents.Pros:- Very quiet.- Has a good variety of blades/ attachments to cut different heights of hair.- Worked really well on thin hair (my younger has thin and softer hair)- Easy to use - took me a couple tries to get the hang of it.Cons:- The over the ear tool is not very efficient. It was hard to maneuver and left out a few hair.- It was a little hard to cut thick hair, my older one has really thick hair and the it felt like the machine was struggling a bit. I have to say that his hair was really overgrown too. All in all, it did cut his hair pretty well.- The cleaning brush provided was not enough to take all the tiny hair out and I used a toothbrush instead and that did the trick.I would recommend this product based on the ease of use and efficiency.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I love the product,I had to buy a new one because I lost the charging cord. But my order has not arrive yet. Says in the tracking info that my package is damaged and is returning to the sender. Bummer!

I have tried every single type of tool they make for de-matting a long haired cat -NOTHING has worked until I stumbled on these wonderful clippers! I have one of those cats that gets horrible mats that are very tight on the skin....she goes nuts no matter what I have tried in the past to remove them. The vet said the only option is sedation and shaving. I do not want to risk unnecessary anesthesia for hair mats! These are very quiet, very low vibration, very convenient that they are battery so I don't have to drag extension cords around to wherever the cat is snoozing. I wait until she is sleeping and calm and just go to work on the mats. It has worked beautifully! I used on my two sheepdogs ears as well and their ears are very sensitive and also mat horribly! GET THESE. BEST TOOL EVER!

This hair trimmer is wonderful. I love how compact and quiet it is and I even like that it charges via USB (such that I can keep a battery charger in luggage to charge it on the go). It is adorable and the kit comes with a freebie cape (which I as an adult woman could fit around my petite neck, but I would not recommend it). There are also a few guards in there, #0 (1/16 inch), #1 (3mm), #2 (6mm), #3 (9mm) and #4 (12mm). There is an ear guard, but I had a good experience using that only on the right ear. On the left ear, it was awkward to flip the trimmer and go in the same direction as hair growth. I would like it if a right ear guard attachment was available to purchase - or if it was compatible with third-party attachments. Otherwise, it is very easy to use, charge and clean and I love how quiet it is.

This has changed the hair cutting experience for my family. My toddler wouldn’t let anyone near him with a clipper or scissors. Taking him to get his hair cut was an awful experience for everyone involved. Found these clippers and will never look back. Listen, I have ZERO, hair cutting experience and I was able to cut a mean fade. I was quite impressed. Turned in trash truck and I was able to give him his first good haircut. You also can’t beat the price. That is the cost of one haircut. Now we will be saving money! 10/10
