A must have staple in any glaze collection
Norse blue plays well with pretty much most glazes out there when layered. It’s a beautiful turquoise-ey blue, and It is so versatile. It looks really good on speckled buff clay, which can be tricky to glaze. This is in my top 3 go-to glazes because of how beautiful and versatile it is.Mug Photo: Cone 5, Norse blue x3 over Laguna speckled buff clay.Bowl Photo: Norse blue x3 outside, sea salt by Mayco, x3 inside, with pinstripe tape for the stripe design. Nice cone 6 glaze
This is a very nice pottery cone 6 glaze. It is one of my favorites! It is very stable and doesn’t run and is also a very pretty color especially for coastal palettes.

Well behaved glaze
It goes on well, layers with other glazes beautifully, and doesn't run too much. I painted on 3 layers on both these pieces and the colors are really consistent in my not super evenly heated kiln. I will be buying this again.

Can be thin
Norse Blue doesn't drip. I would apply 3-5 coats as it can appear slightly faded with the clay I use. Great to use with Mayco Aurora Green.
