Fit & comfort
After one day skiing with them, I felt a great difference in my ankles. I have high vol feet & narrow ankles. My custom boots tongue has worn out over 5 yrs. The inserts filled the gap great but will need fine tuning of buckles & exact position of inserts. Only complaint is the velcro dots are useless & I'll have to tape them in place. Once in right place, glue.4.5 ☆

Resolved my loose calf issue!
I had issues where it would not matter how tightly I buckled my boots that they were not tight enough to control my boots from moving on steeper terrain. My boots oherwise fit well, but I have thinner calves. I moved my buckles in and had them as tight as possible.I put these BEHIND my calves (outside of boot insert/inside shell) vs the suggested in front of calves. I did not want to be pushed back in my boots and would be fine if they provided more forward lean. I did not really notice a change in my stance, but these did the trick!I still have to buckle my boots so tightly that I have to release my upper buckles on the lift. However, I am now skiing steep terrain without feeling like my boots are moving around. If you have thin calves, then I would give these a try. It really improved things without going to a boot fitter.

works well for skinny legs
My son has very skinny legs and finding the right fit for his ski boots was challenging. He was getting bruised from the constant banging and space between his shin and the boot. These inserts worked well, were not too bulky and stayed in place. Definitely worth buying.

Small was still too big.
Shin splints from skiing and dancing. These did not help and did not work. Wish I could return them.

Good bandaid
Needed these for snowboard boots. Was a great bandaid since my boot style didn't come in a wide size + had to get a bigger size to compensate. The Velcro doesn't seem to work as well as it should, but once your adjusted and tightened up, not much really moves.

Fixed my snowboard boot response
I was having issues with my snowboard boots not being tight enough around my skinny legs, specifically for toe-side response. I wanted something to pad out my shin area and found these. I initially thought I would trim the lower section off but I'm glad I didnt... after a few days with them in my boots the hotspots went away and the extra volume of the whole shin pad (the lower portion is actually on top of my foot) was nice to have. I used a small bit of double sided tape to stick it to the tongue of the boot liner, on the inner side so it was against my shin and foot. Without the tape it kept riding up my leg.I highly recommend them for those with skinny legs looking to eliminate that extra space around your leg in your snowboard boots.
