Stevia Amazing Sugar Plant - Sweetleaf - No Calories - 4" Pot

I've purchase stevia plants by mail before only to have them die shortly after transplanting if not mostly DOA. This is the best plant I've received EVER!!! Tall, well leaved, working on being a bush. I don't live in the zones stevia thrives outside, so this will be an inside plant. It looks happy in its new pot. So far, so good!!!

I was surprised at how big and healthy it was when it arrived. It is thriving in the summer Utah heat in a pot on my front porch.

Is not a very hardy plant

When I opened the shipping container I was surprised with a small spindly plant! The plant was packed very well and was protected by 2 bamboo supports. I was disappointed to pay this much for this plant, but since then my plant has grown and grown! The main stem still only has some sparse leaves but the new growth is so lush.I was very happy that my plant arrived without bugs or disease.

I live in HOT DESERT, and it took several live stevia plant purchases (this is my 4th attempt), but I finally was able to follow directions well (previous years, plants were in mail box too long, or not planted quickly enough). What I learned in super hot desert: Plants don't survive summers in pots, in Phoenix. They just don't. I got lucky, these arrived on a rare overcast day, I cooled plants down undisturbed in their shipping box indoors for a while, planted with great care in afternoon, in semi-sun - semi-shade spot, WELL watered area to cool ground, and they never even got wilty this time. Both plants doing great. I think once stevia are taken care of, they do fine, but no plants can handle over 100° temps for long. I will pot them again in winter, or maybe just give them lots protection for frost months.

I WAS READY TO RETURN THIS STEVIA PLANT SINCE IT ARRIVED EXTREMELY ROOT BOUND AND THE THREE TWIGS LOOKED LIFELESS. AFTER READING THE REVIEWS SAYING OTHERS EXPERIENCE THE SAME CONDITION AND AFTER REPOTTING AND WATERING, THE PLANT THRIVED. SO TRUE, IT IS FULL OF LEAVES AND ON THE WAY TO PRODUCING BEAUTIFUL SWEET LEAVES. JUST NEEDS LOVE!

This is the fourth plant I recieved but no matter how careful I am with them they die within a week
