Joyful, Wonderful Performance
No other performer has brought such a consistent and extraordinary joy to the world of pop music than Kylie Minogue. An amazing performer with a body of work that at this point simply cannot be denied, Kylie knows how to put on a show. I had the good fortune of seeing her perform live on the Aphrodite tour, and I can fully confirm that all the excitement you see in her live DVDs is totally real. Her personality can fill stadiums, her music holds up well, and yes, she really sings. The Golden Live Concert CD + DVD combo shows yet another iteration of her stage show. Though still gorgeous and supremely fit, Kylie dials back the dancing she does herself compared with what she'd do twenty years ago, but she still does a ton—enough to make you marvel at her skill, even while making it seem almost effortless. Her shows follow the same pattern: A set of songs, set to a costume and theme, then a costume change and a new set. A little audience interaction, some outstanding dancing, and live musicians. It's a perfect formula for the best pop performer there is, was, or ever shall be. (I'm not claiming she's the best singer or most innovative musician. But I am saying she pulls it all together better than anyone else, and if that means we always have to get the Locomotion, then I suppose that's the price we have to pay.)The songs from Golden fit very well with Kylie's classic hits. The DVD looks good, though I would have shelled out for a blu ray version if one had been available. It's a great performance by Kylie and company, and I continue to love how she (like David Bowie) will adjust her songs with new arrangements on each tour. Some arrangement vary quite a bit from the originals; others don't change much. But these variations, large and small, make Kylie's live albums interesting.Of any celebrity out there, Kylie's the one I wish most to have great fulfillment in live. She's brought so much joy through her music and performances, I hope she feels that way even when offstage. This set captures a great moment in time for her and does well to solidify Golden as a fantastic addition to her catalog. The country flavor works well for her, though it is still the disco portion in which she shines best.

Aphrodite stays Golden
I have seen a few reviews panning Golden Live for not being as flashy and upbeat as Kylie Minogue's other shows. But the pop goddess shows a simpler, more relaxed version of what we have grown to expect from her, which speaks to her versatility and creativity as a pop artist. The album, Golden, was a unique departure from the electro pop that has inspired pop divas like Kim Petras and Katy Perry. The album was more thoughtful and personal with country sound as the backdrop so it only makes sense that its accompanying concert would reflect that introspective nature. And in true Kylie fashion, she reinvents some of her classics like "Can't Get You Out of My Head", "Slow", "Confide In Me", "In Your Eyes" and "Wow" in a way that makes them feel new. She sings more ballads than any of her previous shows including a cover of "Blue Velvet". The last section of the show takes her back to the disco with a Studio 54 motif that she pulls off effortlessly. Sure, the show isn't as flashy and exuberant as her other shows in the past. But that shouldn't suggest a lack of inspiration because the show has a definitive energy that is unique to all of her other shows. Golden Live is a worthy show that shows Kylie Minogue in a way we haven't seen since Intimate and Live.

Golden Live was such a wonderful surprise!
I have purchased every Kylie live DVD released, when I first saw this advertised, I didn't rush to purchase it, having been underwhelmed by Kylie's last live release Kiss me Once Tour. None the less I eventually ordered it to complete my collection. When i played it I was super impressed by the aesthetic captured in the production. Even more impressive were the new live versions of Confide In Me, I Can't Get You Out Of My Head, Being Boiled/Slow and The One.Brava Kylie Brava!!!

👍🏼Kylie👍🏼
It’s a great Kylie show that you can expect, although different from her previous extravagant tours. To fit with the country pop theme, this tour has been pretty “low key” in terms of staging, set, and outfit. But the songs are great, especially the ones from golden, so heartfelt. Kylie never disappoints deliver a show! Just wish there’s a blu-ray version coming!

ALWAYS A "GOLDEN" STANDARD
Not very many artists can attest to the career that Kylie Minogue has been able to maintain; she's endured the highs and lows of fame, keeping herself relevant even as musical tastes on the pop spectrum ebbed and flowed. There were instances that the wind appeared to turn in her favor and the Australian phenom was near making a dent on the North American spectrum, but only her diehard fans are aware of her talent through and through. This live album, captured during her last Europen Tour promoted her country-dance infused album "Golden" and also spotlighted many of her decades of greatest hits. Kylie is in great form and the package includes a DVD of the live show as proof that's she's still making great music and keeping her fans dancing.

Cowgirl Style but still Kylierific!
One of her best concerts yet! The musical arrangements and performance value are superb and wouldn’t expect anything less from Kylie.
