OEM Alternator fixed Power Steering Lock-Up Issue
When a new competitor’s brand alternator was installed into the vehicle, the vehicle’s power power steering would lock-up for 10 seconds one minute after the vehicle was started. When this OEM alternator was installed to replace the competitor brand alternator, this issue was fixed. The vehicle has not had a power steering freeze or traction control issue since installing this OEM alternator. Sweet.

It fit perfectly.
The alternator was taken to a Cadillac dealer and it fit perfectly in my CTS. The only drawback was to Evec the AC system to remove and replace the alternator.

Follow up on my AC Delco Alternatorl review/purchase on 7-22-22
It’s already gone bad! The 2019 Cadillac is shutting off modules like wiper blades etc to protect itself. I thought if I purchased the OE parts I would get a quality part but no luck. Should have bought a used one from a local junk yard. Also, you can’t send a message or email, you have to call 800 number and there is no choice that puts me to the correct place for warranty. This Cadillac has been a headache since my wife purchased new in 2010. Never again!!!
