Actually is a really cool vise.
Just like all the reviews here and on YouTube say, this actually is a pretty cool little vise. It's a nice warm DeWalt colored yellow. It's sturdy. And it's just cool!- It shipped in a cardboard box and the vise itself was still in its cute little retail packaging. These things should definitely be sold in local stores like home Depot or Lowe's.- The main ball joint locks up rock solid with just a half turn of the lever. And the lever doesn't have to be tight at all. As soon as you start feeling resistance it's locked up tight. Can't move it. I did have to wipe a bunch of oil off the ball but that's good.- The jaw covers are a good thick hard rubber, almost like plastic. And they're matte textured for grip. The metal jaws have grooves to hold rods and stuff tight. Always helpful.- The screws to hold the jaws on go in from the outside which makes the holes on the jaws much smaller. The ball joint lever has a spring in it that always keeps a little pressure on the ball joint so it doesn't flop down when you loosen it. You can push up on the lever while it's loose and the ball joint becomes looser.- It's small but it does feel pretty solid for it's size. I wouldn't hammer on it, I guess it's cast steel but it does feel plenty thick and reinforced in the right places.- The front jaw has "STANLEY" stamped into it and a fine point sharpie fits perfectly into the stamped letters. As you can see in my photo lol. :)- It doesn't need much desk space to clamp onto. 1 and 5/8 inches, as you can see in my photo. Even less space on the bottom side. But it's still plenty solid. You don't need to crank it down tight, it gets plenty tight with minimal effort. It's not going anywhere.- It definitely is useful to have a vise that will go down horizontal. Not to mention all the other ways you could tilt this thing. Super versatile.- Comes apart very easily to clean it or regrease. One simple c clip for the spindle. The base also comes apart to get at the ball joint.I can see this lasting forever. Great purchase. It's a small vise not made to bend or hammer on things. But just to hold things for you. It works perfectly and looks cool AF.4-30-2025. Thanks.

Do I need another vise? I thought no but this changed my mind.
Do I need another vice not really. However, I saw this on the video about taking care of Japanese knives which I've gotten into and did intrigued me. This is not a heavy duty device for serious metal hammering however, it's an extremely intriguing product as the base is on some kind of ball and socket, which allows for a crazy amount of angles and adjustments it's lightweight yet very sturdy for most medium to light duty tasks. I use it the whole things that I'm either filing or sharpening or polishing or sanding. I'm pushing pretty hard and this thing has yet to slip. Have to say I'm more than happy and it saves me a lot of time having to gerry rig wood clamps or be confined to where my heavy duty vice is mounted. I can quickly just pull this thing out and pretty much mounted on any stable service and it's got pretty good rubber protection so I don't have to worry about damaging things.

This is a fantastic little vise
I bought this specifically for use as a gun vise as it is much less expensive than other products for that use. I've used it to mount 3 scopes and 1 red dot. It works perfectly and is so much more of a stable platform than I thought it would be for its size.

Good vice for light duty projects.
I say this is a good vice but it's probably a great one. This thing is solid. The ball joint, where it 360 pivots is a little bit stiff after loosening the screw to adjust it but that's not a gripe at all. It's not a heavy duty vice so don't go bearing down on it too aggressively or else it and/or the piece you're working on will slip. It's small enough to fit in fairly tight spaces and portable enough to put a out of the way when you don't need it. I'm honestly considering buying another one. Great product for the money.

Great quality, durable and makes tinkering a lot better.
Absolutely love this vise. Between other competitive options for an extremely more amount, this satisfies me needs and is perfect for tinkering. Cannot say enough good about it. The ball stays tight enough for a human to pry on something, and it maneuverable enough to make it comfortable. No problems as of now. Been using for about a month.
