Works well.
Great product for the price. Works as designed.

It's nicely built, but it doesn't fit the Dewalt DNP612.
The guide itself seems to be nicely made, but sadly, it doesn't fit the router bases that I have, especially the Dewalt DNP612 base.

Very simple, very precise
If you have the need to operate your router along the edge of a work piece making a dead straight groove, dado or even edge profile, this unit is for you. It is made from quality components in a quality manner. You can adjust the edge guide in the most minute amount possible.I purchased this to use in conjunction with my Bosch 1617, and have used it in the manners above, as well as to make circular cuts. Yes, it will even assist you in making circle cuts and profiles. This also contains fittings to use with dust collection operations to keep your work site clean as well.It installs on the router quickly and easily. Simply loosen set screws on base, insert rods into slots in base, and retighten screws/wingnuts. After that it is a matter of adjusting fence to position bit edge where desired. I would suggest starting on a scrap piece so any even microscopic adjustments, which are easily made with unit, can be made prior to routing final work piece. In the case of edge profiles, you could just as easily 'sneak up' on them instead. All in all this is a very well made tool that serves its intended use very well and I recommend it.

Well laid out, Easily Adjustable, Made for the Job, be careful of bolt tension!
**Update March 2020**Still a great concept, though I would exercise caution tensioning down the retaining bolts to secure the adjustment rods to your router base. When setting up for a set of cuts for loose mortises The thin metal of my 1617EVS Router's Plunge Base (Bosch Part No. RA1166) cracked, causing there to be a bit of play in the tension. More of a review of the plunge base's poor casting quality rather than the edge guide. Just a "user beware" caution. Still a well thought out accessory. It is often said there is always a right tool for the job. In this case, this is a right tool for many jobs, from cutting circles to routing along an edge. I picked this up for carving out some loose mortises on a furniture project I built and found it worked perfect for the job at hand and even served me well with some rabbeting work I had to knock out without a dedicated bit. I did have some issues balancing the router (a large 1617EVS) on some of my 3/4" stock however, as the edge guide stands proud of the stock by about a quarter of an inch. Not a deal breaker, but something to note if you are going to clamp your workpiece to the bench. If the stock isn't thick enough you'll have to overhang your bench or use supports to lift the workpiece up, so that is something to note. All in all, I really liked the piece for the job it does very very well. It is a great addition to the shop. If you have a Bosch Router and you are looking to do some rabbeting work and/or loose mortise and tenon projects (a la Festool Domino), pick this guy up and with some careful layout it will be a definite asset to the shop.

Core Functionality Works Well, Dust Collection and Circle Cutting are Likely Unnecessary Gimmicks
The Bosch edge guide attached perfectly to my 34 year old Bosch 1611EVS plunge router. The supplied lock knobs threaded into the holes in the base of the 1611EVS router with no issues, and clamped the guide securely in place for a couple of recent routing tasks that used the edge guide to establish a maximum cut width. The optionally attached dust collection port is sized to perfectly fit a Festool dust extractor hose. The attachment and removal of the dust collection port, while straightforward, is unnecessarily time consuming as two captured nuts must be removed and relocated, and the fence must be partially disassembled and reassembled. That dust collector port will likely have limited usefulness in exchange for the bulkiness that it adds to the edge guide, as the dust collector port will only collect chips when using a router to create a groove in the edge of a board, or possibly when using an edge profiling bit with or without a guide bearing. As an observation, the required guide rod spacing on my Milwaukee routers and Porter Cable routers are different from that used on the Bosch routers. In short, the core functionality of the edge guide works as expected, and the edge guide offers perfect compatibility with Bosch routers dating back to at least 1990.

Got the Job Done
Needed to run a half inch daddo leaving a quarter inch edge on the outside of the boards of a cabinet I was building. Usually I will make a "jig" to make daddos and mortises but because of the size of to boards had problems trying to clamp them in a way that would not interfere with the router. They were stop daddos and I did not trust my skills cutting them upside down on the router table.Seachered and found this jig. Looked right for the job and it Got the Job Done. Clamped a board down for stability put the cabinet board on the solid edge of the first board, hooked up the jig measured out the distance and half an hour later daddos cut in all eight boards. Great tool to have around for those awkward routing jobs.
