Easy to install, came with all tools and extra. So far has held a charge well and tablet is functioning like new.Compared to a HP battery it was worth price and same quality

I bought this battery to replace the one that was failing in my laptop. It came with four screwdrivers and a small plastic triangular tool to help with removing the old and installing the new battery. Installation was very easy and the laptop works fine. Charge retention is fine as is charging speed.

For now its working very well

Battery charges fine. However, it is not keeping the CMOS data alive. Every other time I remove it from the charger the CMOS data is gone and the laptop will not power up until it is connected to a power cord. Then the CMOS reboots and the full password must be entered; after which the laptop boots up. It has happened over a dozen times. The Omen 17 doesn't have a separate CMOS battery (at least one that I have found on the unit or online) and relies on the main battery to supply a low current draw all the time.After posting the initial review (above) I was contacted by the seller and they sent me another battery. Apparently there is a defect with the first one. I removed the battery, turned the unit on with wall power supply, deleted the battery in the device manager, and installed the new battery. There has not been an error since. Good customer service. I have updated the number of stars to 4 to reflect the service provided.

I first went to a local place and they wanted to charge me $85 and it would take 2 weeks. So, I watched a video on youtube for how to replace the battery and it's fairly easy so don't be afraid to do it yourself. I was very happy to find that I can order this battery from here at a very good price. I ordered this close to the holidays and then bad weather hit, so I was worried there would be a delay but it came quickly and on time. They even included small screwdrivers. The battery seems to be working well. thank you, I will keep this place in mind for any future purchases and recommendations. Happy Holidays!

Battery installed fine, etc. But at the 14 month point it just died; would not take a charge beyond 50 percent and would shut down even when plugged in. HP original battery lasted 4 years. Shame on me for cheaping out and believing the manufacturer claims. Next time, buy the real thing.
