This set is great. It has everything you need. I only hand wash and everything is holding up very nicely.

GIFTABLE indeed- this package verges on being nearly miniaturized. Consider it "kid-sized". The tub itself is relatively small; two cups of sushi rice overwhelm it's purpose. I find my larger hangiri more practical; but then I have use of strong male adult hands. Your use may vary.More troubling is the copper-colored banding on such hangiri- an impractical plastic gesture. No copper strength is implied; some cheap hangiri as this even use steel pins as a binding: utter anathema to Japanese cuisine esthetics, and the purposes of wooden hangiri. For Shame!Seemingly more practical are the various bamboo shamoji rice paddles, roll-servers, chopstick holders, etc., in this collection. These are a sheer delight for a chef to ponder. But the sad truth is: Somehow I have yet to understand the esthetic sanitary use of small bamboo pieces to host formal Japanese platings!Do we paint these in acrylic?Do we go vegan, and abandon stain risks of more savory seafoods?Do we allow Fukushima radiation to purify them?OR simply burn these after use?May Time Tell All!!!

The only problem I had with the product is that one of the square plating actually came snapped in half ( assuming since its thin). Wasn't much of a problem since i'm serving myself, but still not pleasant having an odd number of one plating and a proper number of the other plating.

Just the right size I do small gathering and it is just perfect for that.

My husband and I bought this to make sushi for our first time. A couple of the pieces came in broken, but we didn't go about returning it. The bowl is large, which is nice and the spoons are a great size too. The sushi holders only hold about 3 rolls each. All in all... Good for the purchase.

finally made chef quality california rolls, bowl really makes a difference!came with every thing it said...love it!wrap the rollers with saran wrap makes very easy cleanup.

I ordered this product to give to my boyfriend for Valentine's day. I received the product yesterday & was disappointed to see that 2 of the plates were broken & the sushi holders were wobbly & the rice spoon/paddle was not included. No time to send back for refund seeing Valentine's day is tomorrow. Very disappointed.
