Holy Sh*T that's Good
Let's just say that I had a lot of doubts purchasing this book - I love the podcast and the ladies are hilarious, but they tried a different medium (the show) and it wasn't quite as successful as their podcast. So with another new medium (the book) I wasn't sure what to expect. I read the book front to back and it is PHENOMENAL. Maybe I should read more "self-help" books. This book made me LITERALLY laugh out loud and CRY. I am a NON EMOTIONAL person 99.9% of the time AND I wasn't even on my period - it was that good. I have read freaking Jane Austen and Ernest Hemingway for Christ's Sake and this book is still in my top ten favorite books ever. The authors don't go too into depth about themselves in the podcast (which I think is fitting and keeps the podcast ~relevant~) but in the book they do - and I got to say the raw honesty about being a woman in the 21st century is something I have NEVER encountered in any other book. I literally HIGHLIGHTED sections of the book and have been recommending it to everyone I know. I asked my fiancé to read sections and HE laughed out loud and he never finds ladies funny. This book is life-changing - it helped me feel better about before-bed thoughts and helped me pick my bridesmaids. It gave me clarity on common ideas that women share but are often unspoken. It is just really great. If you have not already, anyone of any age can read this book and gain something from it. I smell something burning so I have to run to the kitchen so I will stop fan-girling but seriously, I never write reviews. If I was a CEO I would promote Keltie, Jac, and Becca and give them a sh*t ton of responsibility. Nice job, ladies!

Original Member of the Ladygang
As a member of the Ladygang since its inception, I loved this book!! I laughed a lot, and fully appreciated the vulnerability that we don’t always hear in the twice-weekly podcasts. Becca showed us a side to her that made me love and appreciate her even more. She shared with us that she has been through trauma that many of us, unfortunately, have been through, too. I was shocked to hear the recollections of her experience and felt honored that she felt comfortable sharing with us. Keltie divulged information about her elusive first marriage that helped me understand even more about her, and I loved it! As callous as it sounds, listening to these ladies makes me feel like they are some of my best friends (albeit, totally one-sided!) and when Jac talked about breaking up with her ex, Voldemort, on the podcast, we never really knew what happened or why. Her instagram made it seem like they were going to be together forever. I loved that she explained a bit of what went on behind closed doors, reminding us that we never truly know what other people are going through. I loved her take on social media, too! Overall, I finished the book in two nights because I loved it so much! I can’t wait for the next one (sorry, Becca)!

So much better than I hoped
I've been listening to the LadyGang Podcast for years, I look forward to hearing it twice a week and am a proud member of their facebook group and several subgroups. With that being said, when they announced they were putting out a book I wasn't that excited for it. I usually stick to fiction, and its not like Ketlie, Becca or Jac are writers, but as a dutiful LadyGang member I pre-ordered the book. I wasn't even sure if I would read it. It arrived, and I didnt have anything else to do, so I started reading it. Immediately I was hooked. It is filled with such funny, interesting, heartfelt essays that it sucked me in. I actually laughed out loud, and cried during it several times. I read it straight through, doing nothing else until I finished it, and was sad when it was over. I feel bad for ever thinking the book wouldn't be worth reading, and truly think it would be a great book for every lady out there to read.

GET THIS BOOK
Everything I needed from a book and from The Lady Gang. This book was so much more than I thought it would be. And I'm going to reiterate that you don't have to have listened to the podcast to enjoy this -- even though you should listen. Each of the authors have different experiences to touch on almost every aspect of life. The good, the bad, and sometimes messy. Even though I've listened to the podcast for a long time I found myself feeling a new sense of .... empowerment? reading the essays. But there are even sections for you to fill out if you want to make it a workbook. What I know is that I'm going go back and read it again to highlight important pieces that I either need for myself or to share with others

Top Notch
I've been listening to the LadyGang podcast forever, so I knew I would like the book. I did not expect to love it so freaking much. I was on track to finish it in one night, but decided to break it up over the course of a weekend to enjoy it longer. The essays are personal, uplifting, and inspiring. The advice is top-notch. The drawings are incredible. I bought a copy for my mom and have encouraged all of my friends to buy it as well.I've been anxious during this period of time (hello quarantine), but Act Like A Lady make me feel better and like I can do anything. Keltie's quote even made my "mirror message" list: I know that my brain is the most powerful wish-granting tool I have." Thanks for writing such a wonderful book, LadyGang!

BUY THIS BOOK, YOU WON’T REGRET IT
What a great book! I laughed until I cried, I cried until I sobbed, and I realized some things about myself I’d never known before. Thought their unfiltered honesty Keltie, Becca, and Jac make you realize you’re not crazy (but maybe you are a little), men are trash (until they’re not), friendships are important (but should ADD to your life and I don’t mean drama), and so much more. Also, aesthetically speaking it is beautiful! I read it when it first came out and reread it last week as a way to distract myself from the grief of losing my father. Highly recommend if you want a fun and easy read that doesn’t shy away from though topics(even grieving, thank you BECCA for sharing with us). All women should read it and remember they’re not alone!
