Learnt in a couple days!
What a great product. I used this on the start of my Japanese language journey and it allowed me to learn Hiragana and Katakana in a few days with a busy lifestyle! The scenes they put on the cards really helps you memorize what the sounds should be, and I find them to be way easier to remember than any of the other cards online. Totally recommend!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Finally making progress with Japanese!
I recently bought the Dr. Moku flashcards here on Amazon, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I contacted their customer service to get access to the app, and they replied super quickly — excellent support! The flashcards and the app work brilliantly together, especially if you’re a visual learner like me. After just a few short sessions (about 10 minutes a day for a couple of days), I’ve already learned the Japanese vowels and the Ka set. I’ve been trying to learn Japanese for years with little success, but this method is finally helping it stick. If you’ve struggled with traditional learning methods, give this a try — it’s fun, intuitive, and actually effective. Highly recommended!

Quality cards that do help
The cards are of a good size and quality. The method is genuinely very helpful and you will pick things up quickly. There's a couple of extra cards including one with tables for the characters - it's very helpful. You can also claim a £20 value Premium version of their Android/iOS app by buying the cards.I've rated 5 stars because what you see is exactly what you get, the quality is very good and the value with the app inclusion is superb. There are some things that could make the product better though.I would agree with other reviews that some marker to show if you're looking at the Hiragana or Katakana side of a card would be useful. Just a coloured tag or something in the corner would be fine. It would also be useful if the box had a Velcro top rather than being just a standard cardboard tab. Pokémon TCG deck boxes often have this. It would make things easier when using the cards daily. Extending the set to include full cards for the dakuten etc variants would also be welcome. These things might make the set a little more expensive but I think they'd be worth it.

Good quality product but the design could be better
To start with, the product is very well-made. The quality of the cards, the print, and the material they're made from are all excellent. The mnemonics are also quite clever, helping you effectively remember the Japanese alphabet. However, I do have an issue with the design of these cards. Each card features a hiragana letter on one side and a katakana letter on the other, with both sides having a similar design. For beginners in Japanese, it's not easy to distinguish between the two alphabets. If you mix the cards or flip them over, you'll be completely lost. As a workaround, I had to manually label each card with a "K" for katakana and an "H" for hiragana to keep track.Additionally, I believe the design could be improved overall. The cards would be more useful if they could also serve as a revision tool. Because one side has a katakana letter and the other a hiragana one, it's impossible to use the cards to test your knowledge. A better design would feature a Latin alphabet letter on one side and both the katakana and hiragana letters on the other. This would eliminate any confusion and make the cards a more effective revision tool.

An incredible learning tool!
Stumbled across these flashcards when browsing the best tools for starting to learn hiragana and katakana, and this was no exaggeration. These flash cards make learning and memorising the kana engaging and simple. The access to the app provided by the team at Dr Moku also helps massively with getting pronunciation right.Excellent customer service, with a team dedicated to making learning languages fun! Great product
These cards are not only fun to use, but really help to learn Kana. I've only just began learning Japanese, and already know all of Hiragana by heart, am so pleased with myself! :D The flash cards suggest associations for each symbol, some I'm using directly as described, and other ones simply trigger some other images of my own (you'll need pictorial associations to memorise these alphabets). I don't think these cards are designed with young users in mind only, but simply for beginners of any age. I now look forward to turning the cards over to the other side to learn Katakana, and btw there are also four simple words at the bottom of each card that include the symbol that's on it, and it's such fun being able to read these words :))
