It says Oatey and Hercules, which I assume means that you can get either one? Well for the record I got the Hercules one, which to me is the better one of the two. I like how soft and manageable it is, but it's not so soft that it doesn't work like other putties I've used.I too got the good deal at around 6 bucks. I doubt anyone could ever beat that price and with Prime shipping, I don't know how Amazon made any money on it at all. When I need more, I'll wait for the price to come back down again.

Deceptive Quality
Ordered this plumbers putty to install a garbage disposal. All items and accessories ordered through Amazon were in good shape, except for the putty that was too hard/dry to use. Manufacturer took time to tape and hide the cracked lid, instead of doing the honest thing and put on a new one. Shame!
