Vendor sent wrong one, which was great!!
Well the vendor sent a totally different burr. Fortunately it was one I didn't have and actually cost more than the one I ordered (so don't tell anyone). Anyhow I kept it and reordered again. Second time they sent the right one and it's beautiful. Works well for my woodcarving. I have an impeccable reputation, or did until I kept that first burr,....so you gotta believe me.

Small wood burr
Will certainly grind wood but is smaller than I expected. Will purchase a larger size.

The difference is shocking
TLDR; Buy these types of burr if you are struggling with or just new to power carving. They are worth the price.I've been attempting learn to power carve for a couple of weeks using an old stock of Dremel burrs loaned to me from an acquaintance. There are all kinds of burrs, drums, and other various business ends in the collection. It took hours to do what I assumed was simple practice carvings of things like, block letters, simple shapes, and even just carving random shapes to try and get the hang of handling the tool. It was a frustrating experience and I almost gave up.I decided to give it one more try and went to YouTube to find advice. I found a number of power carvers talking about the Kutzall and other similar type burrs. Then I went to amazon and saw the price of these burrs and was shocked at the seemingly high price of these individual burrs. I decided to buy one burr and give it a shot. The Sphere burr was delivered yesterday and I immediately opened and tried it out.*I can not overstate how much of a better carving experience this sphere is vs the burrs and drums that came with the collection that was loaned to me.I redid the block letter practice and it took me less than 5 minutes to carve 13 letters (while stopping to clear dust and being amazed between each letter). It took me over an hour to carve the 13 letters the first time using the random burrs I had.If you are struggling to power carve or wanting to jump into it, you can't go wrong with a set of these Kutzall burrs. I've ordered 4 more different shapes and they are being delivered today. I can't wait to use them.

If you’re looking at this you don’t need my help!
As always, I start by saying I wasn’t paid for this (or any of my) review, and I bought this with my own hard-earned cash. Now: If you are looking at this than high probability that you are into power carving, and doing so w a dremel tool or a hanging motor. It’s kutzall. If you haven’t tried one yet do so! They’re amazing!!!!I have a few bits of Kutzall, Saburrtooth, and Foredom typhoon and they all accomplish different approaches. The Kutzall extremes are like the St and typhoon... they remove lots of stock quickly and relatively smoothly. That’s why I’ve bought more Kutzall classics than St’s now.... I found I like the gritty carbide better than the spikes. It’s not as aggressive and it leaves a better finish to smooth out.So: now you’re wondering - do I get regular or fine??? That’s tougher. I love the fine... and if you’re working a soft wood (I do mostly basswoods) it’s like butter... but I used some fine on oak and it struggles a bit more.If you’re afraid the fine will load up faster than the reg.... meh. I haven’t really noticed. I do keep a natural rubber stick (to clean my sanding drums as well) around and it takes off most of the funk pretty quick. I’ve yet to need to burn out any of my K reg or fine’s.... but that’s me.I prefer fines for most things now a days.... tho if I had the cash I’d have sets of all three. But if you only need the occasional power stock removal and do mostly rough detail power carving (I do the fine detail w chisels/knives) I suggest instead 60grit diamond bits. You can find them on Amazon (I found 1 or 2 sellers) and they work fantastically!Hope that helps for those that are like me and actually depend on honest reviews rather than the fake trash we’ve ALL fallen for from time to time.Cheers-R
