Star Wars Signature Series Force FX Lightsaber - Darth Maul

That was one of the few quotes we got from the Sith Lord Darth Maul (the only good thing that came) from episode 1 the phantom menace. This force fx lightsaber is awesome, so awesome I bought two of them to create Darth Maul's signature doublesaber. As a doublesaber its massive at a length of 7 feet, 4 inches (I'm 5 feet, 10 inches by comparison) and the blades are surprisingly durable, just don't be too abusive when clashing with other objects. The hilt is made of aluminum and puts the plastic lightsabers to shame with quality, craftsmanship, and detail. It should be noted that as a doublesaber it is a TWO HANDED WEAPON swinging it for an extending period of time is enough to be considered a workout. Duel wielding is not recommended due to the weight and length of the individual blades (believe me i tried). It also maybe a good idea to learn some martial arts staff techniques when handling this beast, and to bring out your inner Maul. When in the darkness the lightsaber gives off a solid red glow, but if you look at it through a camera lens it looks like an in movie lightsaber blade (minus the burning through your flesh). Makes all the great lightsaber sounds, and simulates the igniting and retracting effects of a lightsaber. It should be noted that it eats up battery power so make sure to stock up on the AAA batteries. Comes with the stand to place it on display and for storage. Also comes in with the end piece as if it were chopped in half or the connector. If your curious about the allen wrench it comes with its to adjust your connector because when you screw two together it probably wont align. My only criticism is that as a doublesaber is too long to be swung indoors, so you might want to use this outside only even as a single blade. Great product 5/5 worth the money.

Love it, Need the second portion so I can go nuts at Comic Con! The sound is a little off, but the construction seems solid all be it i don't use it all the time and just have fun once in a while. it seems like a solid construction, but beware i wrote a review on Vader light saber and it continued to break in the LED portion of the blade. there would be dead lights when you turn it on. this one sounds like the same noise as Vader but I am not sure if it is the same construction so be aware it could be and might have the same issues. As for the one I bought ! it seems fine.

This is a high-quality piece that skips the plastic parts in favor of a full brushed aluminum hilt that exhibits all of the fine details that make it look and feel like the real deal. The red alloy rotary switch to "activate" the wicked Sith trademark red blade adds an even cooler feel to a very attractive saber. The blade boasts brilliantly bright red illumination and the sound effects sampled from Darth Maul's Lightsaber in The Phantom Menace are clear and do not exhibit clipping in the audio as may be the case in other FX Lightsabers. The idle hum sounds dark and almost identical to that of the Darth Vader Lightsaber.I find it hard to believe that the Darth Maul FX is not a first pick for all collectors, however this model may be easily overlooked due to the hype and more aggressive marketing of the Vader, Yoda, Obi-Wan and Luke Skywalker models. A perfect balance of beauty and feel, fans of the red bladed Sith lightsabers are sure to love the Darth Maul FX Lightsaber which has become my personal "Sith" saber of choice.I plan to get the Yoda FX next in order "to bring balance to the force" of my collection! Consider the Darth Maul FX model, I see little room for disappointment with this top quality replica.

Eagerly anticipated the arrival of a "Dark side" red saber to go along with the Luke SkyWalker green saber that arrived yesterday (perfect condition and works excellent -10 out of 10) -UPS dropped it at my house @ 8:18 pm, I put new batteries in it at 8:25 pm and immediately I am trying to figure out how this brand new $100 saber is shorting out. When I swing it, it turns off and re-ignites. Also, it does not have any clash sounds -it does nothing. So I going to return this for a full refund...bummer, it was my son's birthday today too. Guess you can't rely on the Sith after all...something must have happened to it during shipping or whoever was inspecting it on the way out the door was totally preoccupied or way under-qualified.

This is my first product review on Amazon but I felt compelled to write this due to the inferior quality of this product. I got the first unit a couple days ago, and the hilt has a long scratch on it, along with many blemishes on the hilt. I decided to return it for a replacement. I just got the replacement and the second unit won't even turn ON!!! It also has a lot of minor blemishes all over the hilt and some minor scratches.I have 5 lightsabers from Master Replicas (the previous licensed vendor for the Force FX lightsabers), and their qualities are so much better. The Ultimate FX Lightsabers made by Hasbro now are so inferior in quality and workmanship that I cannot fathom.I think I will spend a bit more and get the Master Replicas units instead.Star Wars Force FX Lightsaber Darth Maul
