Mrs. Renfro Salsa, Jalepeno Green, Hot, 16 oz

Love the salsa, no longer available locally, ordered 2 jars 20 minutes apart, took 3 weeks and 6 weeks to receive??

Mrs. Renfro's is a favorite brand of mine...and though I rarely enjoy GREEN salsas, this one is fantastic. Great texture & flavor (albeit a bit more "watery" than the average red) without sacrificing spice. I never like a GREEN salsa solo, yet this one, is good enough to be topped onto many Mexican++ dishes. It's labeled as HOT, though I would categorize it closer into the MEDIUM spice range. My usual favorite being the HABANERO, of which I also don't categorize as super "HOT", rather more of a MED-HOT, just for reference.

The products received using Amazon Fresh have generally been pretty good with some exceptions such as broken eggs, crushed fruit, and milk that went bad before expiration date. Also experienced one delivery that went to the wrong place, and customer services resolution took 24 hours to correct, therefore it's not fair to review the products because of the lack of quality of the delivery. Two weeks in a row I had major problems including one delivery that went to a house but it was addressed to an apartment, which gives me the impression that the driver could not find the proper address and just dumped the food elsewhere. To make matters worse, customer service could not remedy it for 24 hours. Unfortunately the service prevents me from rating any of the food products, as I will never use fresh again.

Very nice taste. Used with tacos and enchiladas. Will buy again!

I have eaten salsa my whole life and other than making it fresh myself, there are few store-bought salsas I would buy twice, let alone rave about. I like my salsa to have a bit of a kick, not overpowering where you can’t taste anything else or so mild it might as well be ketchup. But THIS is beyond my expectation!! It surely beats any salsa I’ve found on Amazon or in a supermarket. I bought the green but will now try the red. Couldn’t give it enough stars!!

Husband was expecting something a bit hotter...he prefers hot stuff,so perhaps my fault for not paying attention to labeling.Its pourable,yet the perfect consistency for scooping onto chips.

Good quality. Right amount of heat. Really ads flavor.
