The best Dogtra so far
As a professional dog trainer, I got the 2 dog 280x. Connecting with my old 280c was a breeze although there is not much information on how to do it. As part of Dogtra’s popular lineup, the 280X model is a step up in terms of functionality, durability, and ease of use, making it an excellent choice for both novice pet owners and professional trainers.Pros:- Stimulation knob is WAY more accurate- 3 dogs on one remote- Not sure about battery size, but it felt like the unit lasts longerCons:- I did not like the system to switch between dogs. It is small for my big hands.- The 280c remote felt more ergonomic than this remote.- Side buttons are a bit small compared to 280cI have been loving having multiple dogs in one remote. I also switched out the traditional plastic buckle strap out for a bungee since I prefer the ease of putting it on and taking it off which I HIGHLY recommend (this unit needs a 3/4" strap). I do wish that the buttons on the side were more the size of the 280c. I also wish that the middle button was NOT the stim button.Overall, I think this is one of the most solid e-collars on the market and well worth the price. I have been a long time Dogtra user and will continue to be. An extremely well made e-collar by Dogtra, and I can confidently say: it's their best one yet.

Great for 3 Dogs Plus LED Light for Night Time
The media could not be loaded. I recently reviewed the Dogtra 280X on my YouTube channel, @RealisticDT22, and found it to be a reliable e-collar, especially for off-leash obedience and training. The buttons are user-friendly, and the remote is compact enough, though it feels a bit bulky in my hands. I tend to prefer a slimmer transmitter, like the ARC, Tom Davis 280C, or the OG 280C, but that’s just personal preference.I love the LED light on the receiver, which adds visibility at night, and the fact that the unit can accommodate up to three dogs. The removable shield, which allows for changing shield colors, is a nice touch. Additionally, the removable contact points make it easy to switch to vibrate-only mode. However, I was disappointed that it doesn’t come with a bungee collar, and the string attaching to the transmitter feels cheap. Overall, the 280X performs well for off-leash work, with some room for design improvements.

Great off leash collar
This is my second Dogtra collar and I love it. This one is an upgrade but my other is still working great. I love that the 280x has a long range. The light is great for using in the dark if you need to see the dog's location. The stimulation is nice and strong (non-shock) and sometimes works better than the estim. setting. I love that I can lock the stim. setting so I don't accidently get it too high or too low and it not work. Having the boost is a good way to get her attention when she isn't listening to the normal setting I have set. The units stay charged for a few days and even have a red light tell you when to charge the units (the hand unit has a battery gage as well).

Newest DOGTRA 280X model e-collar
As a dog trainer I have used e-collars for about 30 years. I prefer the Dogtra collars over all the others. I recently just purchased the new Dogtra 280X. Dogtra has made alot of upgrades and added new features with this collar. The new 280X E-Collar Receiver is small is size and not bulky like some older models. The E-Collar Strap is the same type with all dogtra collars. This 280X includes a beacon and locate light, making it easy to spot your dog in low-light conditions. In addition, they come with removable contact points for non-stimulation training (dummy box). The Nick/Constant button is a large button in the center of the Remote Transmitter. The Rheostat Dial is still just as easy to use turn up/turn down, and now the dial has a Safety level lock which prevents unintentional level changes. The collar is three-Dog Expandable, and toggles between the three very easily. The collar has a new Boost Function that is nice when you need to increases stimulation intensity for immediate response. This collar does have Audible Tone and XPP (Extreme Performance Pager) Vibration that allows multiple ways to communicate with your dog. I really love that Dogtra added the tone when you are turning the receiver & collar on and off. In the past there has only been the light and sometimes it would be hard to see during sunny time. This collar is still very simple to use even though is has alot more features. Reading through the instructions once is all you need to learn the new features. I was very glad to see that Dogtra upgraded to a USB-C Charging cube for faster and more efficient charging. Included with thsi collar is a Test light, Belt Clip, Lanyard, and Owner’s Manual. I really like everything with this collar and will recommend it to others. I have never been disappointed with Dogtra's product.

Great e-collar and easy to program!
I’m very familiar with the Dogtra Arc, the E Collar Tech Educator, and the Pro Educator. The 280x is like a mix of all of these with ease of use. I really like the collar and am giving it 5 stars because it is absolutely everything I expected and wanted. A couple things people may view as drawbacks would be that the light on the receiver does not stay on which would be nice in the dark and the transmitter (remote) is slightly large in the hand. Overall though, I love the functionality of the collar and will be recommending it to my dog training clients and to my friends as a great option.
