I bought this and nothing grew after I planted about 80 seeds. Contacted seller and they’re sending me a new kit. Fingers crossed! I can’t wait to see some seedlings.Update: the seeds from the new pack sprouted! My students and I are thrilled. I did not have luck getting them to grow in the provided substrate, but I did in some cactus soil.

Never sprouted. Plus, the clear cover had stickers on that could not be completely removed, leaving sticky residue after cleaning with soap and water. Just don't bother.

I like growing succulents. It takes a while but they just look great as they grow. I bought this kit to give it a try. The directions are straight forward, easy, and didn't take long. What I really liked was the number of seeds that came with the kit. I used them not in in this, but was able to seed several other pots as well. In three days there were green shoots visible. Also, in the other pots there was growth in the 3-4 days as well. Overall a fun kit with the possibility of using it multiple times. Well worth the purchase.

This was a gift, nicely packaged. Gift recipient seemed happy with it.

I like the mini greenhouse, has plenty of seeds and a nice little clay pot. The "soil" that was sent with it wasn't really soil, just pure vermiculite so I used an actual cactus soil mix instead, and the instructions in the pamphlet didn't match the kit and said nothing about using the mini greenhouse. The instructions that came with it said to cover the seeds with 3/4" of soil, which is nearly the height of the pot, and the seedlings don't even get that tall until a lot later on. If you followed the instructions sent with it, you would never see if any seeds sprouted, and the ones that did would die.

We bought this for a wedding gift for ourselves and my husband is a cacti dweeb. It took about 8 days for the first three shoots to pop up and he is excited beyond belief. Not all of the seeds have sprouted, but you get a sufficient amount of seeds to try your luck with. One thing to be said is the picture looks like an ok sized pot. Its not. Its a puny little pot about an inch wide at the mouth. Do not plant all or your seeds at once, as another reviewer said. The one thing that can/should be included is when to move the plants to a cactus friendly pot or dirt. Otherwise, it works.

None of the seeds took at all, not one and you get a lot! I’m a pretty experienced succulent/cactus & other house plants and I tried multiple ways even after their own directions. I followed their exact instructions and there’s not much to it. So I’m going to try elsewhere. Also on the backside of the paper it states that “IF” it reaches 4 inches to basically return it where it came from. While in theory I understand but then why sell something if you only want people to return it? But do you make money off it? Get a kickback off of it?! Sure, so in all fairness why would I buy it if I didn’t want to grow it and care for it. Anyway, I hope someone else’s experience goes better! Update: as I figured I also never heard from the seller not even for a tip or anything.

So after multiple tries of planting these seeds following the enclosed directions and having not 1 seed grow, I used my own method. After planting the seeds in common potting soil, I covered the top of the pots with plastic wrap and poked holes in the plastic wrap. I gave the seeds a good watering and put them under a grow light for 3-6 hours a day. Every seed has now sprouted, it took about 6 days to happen. The pictures are around week 2 after planting.
