Works with KVM switch and EDID emulation
Works well with a KVM switch that supports EDID emulation. I used it with a TESmart dual-HDMI switch, and a graphics card that has one DisplayPort and one HDMI output. This worked well to convert the DP output to HDMI, while not losing the EDID emulation. It does appear to get warm after several hours of operation though; I would not recommend packing it into a cramped or enclosed space.Just be careful that the directionality is what you want -- when using this with a KVM switch, this item is for the **source** side: plug the displayport end into your computer, and the HDMI end should mate with the cable running to the KVM's **input**. This will NOT do anything if you were to plug it into your monitor's DP port.(Unfortunately, the KVM itself was a disaster, so I still ended up returning this as it was no longer needed. But, this item works well on its own.)

Everything but 4K
I use this to connect another HDMI monitor to my pc, which my GPU only has 1 HDMI. I was using a switch before but what I needed was my old dual monitor set up, so I needed an adaptor. This one had the best ratings out of the three I was looking at. I have one FHD and one UHD monitor (1080p and 4K). Thinking this would be great for my 4K, I originally hooked it up with the 4K monitor plugged into the adaptor. During use, the monitor would flicker, change from SDR to HDR on its own and if any kind of display pop-up, i.e. I use a Logitech key/mouse setup and it uses an on-screen display for volume changes and other keyboard functions. Whenever one of those would show I would lose picture all together. Sometimes I could get it back on by moving the mouse or hitting a key, but others I would have to restart the monitor and yet others a whole system shutdown. Since then I have switched to having my SHD (1080p) monitor plugged into the adaptor and my 4K model plugged directly into the GPU like normal. This seems to work perfectly so far.

Works Great, well did work great
I am always appreciative of a product like this. It's simple, straight forward and it does exactly as it should. I've had no issues at all, instantly worked without any problems. Definitely recommended. There are plenty of other products that I can't sat the same for. This one is great.EditOops so just a week ago this stopped working. No longer transmitted the signal. My PC was off, not asleep but off and I booted it up to a black screen. I checked the typical stuff and while doing so had run my hand along this to find it very hot to the touch. Far hotter that anything like it should be. Mind you this was in about a 1 time period after the PC was powered on. Not comfortable with it, the seller is great and would honor the warranty but I'd prefer not take the risk unfortunately. Live and learn.

Great for MST Daisy-Chaining
Note: This is for the Active DisplayPort to HDMI (4K@60Hz). I have a couple of Dell monitors I wanted to daisy-chain together. The primary display is a P2423DE with DisplayPort input and output connections, and the other one is a SE2416H with an HDMI input. The setup works well, provided you have a video card that supports it. An NVidia Quadro card will drive it, along with a Dell Latitude 5520 (via the USBC power/video port). Also, the monitor being driven in this manner has to be the last on the chain.A Lenovo T430 with Intel HD graphics will only drive the primary monitor, as the video subsystem doesn't support MST at all.

Working great at 4K/60Hz.
Working great at 4K/60Hz. Using it to drive a BenQ monitor from one of the displayport outputs on my RTX3060. I previously tried a [less expensive] cable with the converter built in, but that couldn't even drive 4K/30Hz reliably.UPDATE: After a few weeks the image started dropping randomly... at first just for a second at a time and then longer. Finally quit completely - luckily, just inside of the 30 day return window. Going to try this one next and cross my fingers it keeps working: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08XFSLWQF
