Works for Vintage Farberware Superfast Percolator Lids (w/a Workaround for Millennium)!
I have a vintage Farberware Millennium Percolator I recently bought off Ebay that I LOVE. As the old adage goes, "They don't make them (now) like they used to!" It's true. Unfortunately, the Millennium has a narrow plastic globe that cannot be replaced. And boy, how I have tried! The opening for the Millennium globe is 5/8 inches. This glass All-Fitz is just slightly larger than the opening, meaning, it frustratingly was so close yet it didn't fit.I didn't want to buy a new percolator (all the reviews are the same: overpriced and stop working roughly within 6-8 months, planned obsolescence at it's best and worst) so after a zillion creative internet searches came up with this work around:I bought a Farberware Superfast Percolator sold for parts on Ebay that included a percolator lid. Even with shipping, still cheaper than a new percolator. The lid fit but the sides didn't come down as far as they did on my Millennium lid so it was loose with extra slack. Also, because the sides of the lid didn't come down as far, the lid would immediately fall out if you tipped the percolator over to pour a cup of coffee. (I fortunately tested this without hot coffee in the pot!) Two food-grade silicone rubber bands around the Superfast lid helped take up the extra slack and keep the lid from falling out.Next, the Superfast lid has a larger plastic globe than the Millennium. But again, it was old and aged from time and use and one of the bayonet legs snapped off when I cleaned it. This Fitz-All glass lid works on the Superfast lid, though. You definitely have to use the metal piece that goes underneath to secure it to the lid. The glass knob can shift/slide slightly once in place, but it's a delicate balance of tightening the metal piece underneath to hold the knob in place but not overtightening it so the glass breaks.Having the glass knob over plastic is great! However, you need to realize that it adds considerable weight to the percolator as a whole (compared to the plastic knob it originally came with). This is especially noticeable when pouring coffee. Because of my workaround with the lid, I put a finger on the globe when I go to pour a cup of coffee as an added precaution. Just as an FYI, THE GLASS KNOB GETS HOT, THOUGH! Things you don't realize or think about until you're actually experiencing it. Overall I'm happy that this percolator replacement globe was able to work. I'm even happier that all it took was a bit of a workaround but I was able to keep my original Millennium percolator purchase. I know some folks don't care to see the coffee perc through the lid, but I love the novelty of it and wanted to keep that detail.

Huge improvement!
I've been using a Farberware 12-cup stovetop percolator for several years now. It came with a plastic top that was tinted blue. Not fond of the plastic or the tinting, I purchased two glass and metal replacements. At that time, the metal ring was very pliable and would constantly have to be bent back into shape. Using the gasket that came with the original top helped get a snugger fit, but it still fell off every few days. It was very annoying. With very few options, I begrudgingly ordered yet another replacement because the metal band was getting even weaker from having to be reshaped so many times. However, this time I was very pleasantly surprised to see that they made the ring out of a much sturdier material! This one loosens up a smidge now and then, but it only needs a little twist to snug it up again. It doesn't bend and warp! It's easy to remove for a nice, thorough cleaning, the metal is solid and heavier than the old one, and the smooth surface resists staining. The glass bulb looks so much better than the blue plastic, and it allows you to clearly see how dark the coffee is while it's perking. No one likes to be annoyed before their morning coffee, and now that my coffee pot top works the way it supposed to, there's one less thing to make me start the day off cranky...er.

THIS REPLACEMENT TOP HAS ALWAYS SAVED THE DAY!
I used to buy this very item at the "hardware" store. That is how long they have been around and in use. I can't say that they have always been the "import" item that they are now (Taiwan), but as long as you purchase the correct size range for the hole diameter in your particular coffee pot lid, this will give good service. It is secure, its made of GLASS with an aluminum retaining ring, and that is all there is to it. I keep a spare or two of these on hand and it has saved the day (or morning) many times. This is more of a universal fit (within several hole size ranges) and I found that to be a lot more convenient than to try and search out an exact hole diameter fit top....if that is even a possibility today. This particular size fits all three of my camping pots (all three are different makers and cup capacities) and fits my home use stove-top percolator as well. No complaints these many years!

It does NOT fit a Farberware Yosemite
That's what I have, and I wanted a glass top to replace the tempered plastic top it came with. I saw indications in both the product description here, and in a review, that indicated it would. It doesn't. Not even close. If that's what you're looking for, look elsewhere. Seems like a well-made product, but I have no idea what percolator it's supposed to work with. Not mine. I returned it via a Staples, got the refund quickly, not angry, just a bit bothered by the misleading info. It might fit some Farberware percolator, but obviously the Yosemite is their flagship perc now, and no, you don't want this for that.
