Carpet Cover 70mm WIDTH 0.93M Aluminium Threshold Strip Door Floor Trim Transition Bar TMW Profiles (Titanium)

Needed a threshold bar between kitchen and lounge. Two different heights. I decided against the ones made of mdf and opted for this metal one as this area gets a fair bit of foot traffic. It’s very sturdy and would probably even take a wheelchair going over it( you’d probably need to reinforce it a bit). The colour was just what we wanted and toned in well. Top marks for the packaging, I’ve never seen anything so well packaged, it even had two pieces of wood inside to prevent damage. I cut it with a junior hacksaw and it wasn’t too difficult, and then filed the rough edges. However once you make that cut there’s no going back. A good bit of kit and worth the money

My mother's carpet was fraying at the door join from the constant passing of the walking frame and this covered a larger width and was just what was needed. Easy to cut with a junior hacksaw.

Very pleased with this plate. It looks very elegant and was just what we needed to cover a gap that was a bit wider at one end than the other. I used it to bridge from utility room tiles to kitchen flooring.Another reviewer described the screws as being made from cheese. I drilled full depth pilot holes into the wood sub floor but the screws just sheared off before they were half way in. Completely useless and not fit for purpose. It beats me why such a nice and versatile item is supplied with poor quality fixings. I used my own screws which were fine.

All other thresholds strips are pointless & pale in comparison to this one. I ordered 2 not looking at the width & was utterly dazzled by how beautiful they were. Never in all my years of DIY have I called a threshold strip beautiful. I had to buy 1 more as another threshold strip close by looked out of place & pathetic. I used 1 to cover a height adjustment step down of 1cm between rooms & the others I used for laminate to tile. The 7cm width just makes the doorway complete & hides gaps & height adjustments.

Simple to cut to size, and then fit. Wide enough to cover both carpet edges and screws went into an old hardwood strip. Prompt delivery and well packaged.
