My mom loves these and they are hard to find. She really enjoyed them. They were fresh as yummy.

Remembering the past
I remember Moon Pies from my childhood (80+ years ago). During the "war" (WW II) they were larger in diameter than the current largest size, had thinner marshmallow, and on occasion had no exterior glaze (always chocolate - when available - as I recall) - but I loved them anyway. The present-day miniatures are just as delicious, however - and the perfect size for an "old man." And nowadays, I prefer the vanilla coating, which is very often unavailable in my area.
