PERFECT for their purpose. NOTHING wrong with these at all!
I never have purchased hinges that are 360 degrees before, let alone fitted panels to them. I chose these, in the bronze finish, since they looked like the ones that had been placed on other privacy screens which I have seen. I have used these hinges now to connect panels in three different privacy screens (all made out of solid wood -- mango, poplar, and red oak), and they work perfectly. Also, contrary to other customer reviews, I found even the screws supplied with the hinges to be of adequate quality. One proviso: I never attempt to put in a screw (or even drive in a nail sometimes) unless I drill a slightly smaller hole in the area first! As I recall, the screws for this kit are about 9/64" in diameter, and I drilled a hole that was two sizes smaller, i.e., with a 7/64" drill bit. Then, the screws went in, by hand, with ease (but for the red oak panels, so a larger hole had to be drilled in those), and the heads of the screws held up quite well (even when used on the red oak wood). One privacy screen to which I connected the panels with these hinges is one of the hand-carved mango wood privacy screens, made in India, and sold on Amazon (the one with "the sun and moon" in its title) -- quite a fancy and relatively expensive item, but with possibly the worst quality hardware currently produced on Earth used on it. Its hinges were not 360 degrees (but standard door hinges), and the screen's original weight was almost 60 lbs. Its hinges began to rust out quickly, and the screws used with these hinges were totally rusted out in less than six months. Moreover, the original screws in this screen's original panels, with slotted heads, may not be removed with any type of screwdriver which I ever have seen, so they had to be "dug out" with heavy pliers. Finding these replacement hinges for that privacy screen was a blessing. That privacy screen since has been "cut down," or repurposed, and is being used as a half-height privacy screen (of four panels) + two doors for a piece of furniture + a two panel half-height privacy screen placed around a cat's litter box area.I have no other hinges of this design with which to compare these hinges, but it does not matter, since these are perfect for their intended purpose. Look no further.

This is some kind of Magick!
The hinges are good quality -- that's immediately obvious. What wasn't so obvious (to me) is how they would actually swing both ways. 🫠I turned and prodded and pulled and imagined. Nothing. 🤔 Then my mind wandered while I handled them like some kind of fidget toy and -bam- one sort of... Flipped. Wait. How'd I do that?! 👀A little more fidgeting (paying attention this time), and I got it! I held one *exactly* that way and installed it. Magick!!See the picture for how to install. They DO work!!The screws are on the cheap side, but worked fine by hand tightening only.Buying more just in case I need them in the future. Because Magick is fun! 🪄

Right hinge to connect Shoji screens
The attached picture shows two different hinges. The one on the right is the one we purchased from Amazon. The hinge on the left is what came with the 3 panel Shoji screen. We bought 2 Shoji screens, 3 panels each, because the price of two was cheaper than buying a six panel screen (go figure 🙃). We joined the 2 screens together using these durable hinges; only needed two hinges- top & bottom. Now the 6 panel Shoji screen stands up better than a 3 panel screen. But best of all, it hides all the "junk" in the garage & looks nice.

Worked Great!
These were an exact replacement to some hinges that were on a folding room separator. They work well! I highly recommend.

Much Better
I purchased to replace the hinges that were in stalled on the Monet room divider. they bent like figure 8's first week just from position the divider. I must add that 1 reason is that the wood framing are not milled straight and the people that put in the screws they went in this way that way and so the plates were not positioned straight to begin with, and so the pressure to twist them in the wind. I digress these are twice the thickness of the metal originals and so they can hold up under the misalignment of the entire assembly. Thank You
