Cannon EOS lens to Micro 4/3rds Camera
I was able to adapt an 80-200mm Cannon Lens and a macro zoom lens that I had for an old EOS Rebel Film Camera so that I could use them on a Panasonic Micro 4/3rds Camera. The adapter mounts the lens to the camera, but as noted on the Fotodiox site it does not work in Automatic mode.To make it work one must set the camera to the "No Lens" mode through the "Custom" menu, which can only be reached on the camera if not in the "iA" mode. (At this time I cannot see any negative aspects of leaving it in the "no lens" mode even when using an automatic lens, but I will admit that I have not put the camera through all the paces with it in the no-lens mode. The instruction seem to suggest that this is only an override that defeats the internal switch that won't allow the camera to take a pic without a lens it recognizes.)With this adapter all lens controls are manual, including focus, aperture, and of coarse, zoom, so don't expect to slap on the lens, point and click. The 5 star rating considers the good quality of the adapter and the cheap price. For about 20 times the price one can get an adapter for certain lenses that will work in automatic modes. At that price I'd just consider getting a lens rather than an adapter. The Cannon Zoom lens is the only high zoom lens I have. The Canon Macro Zoom Lens did not give images that were as good as the Panasonic 14-42mm lens using a Fotodiox Extension tube, but this is a function of the lens, not the adapter.

Surprised by the quality
I've been looking for a Canon-to-M43 adapter for my GH2, so I can use my Canon lenses. I was apprehensive, because a lot of the more expensive adapters had mixed reviews and even reports of the ring getting stuck on a lens. I thought for the price, I'd take a chance on the Fotodiox.I was surprised when I unboxed it because I was expecting a plastic assembly at this price point. It's actually all metal; the whole piece is solid metal, including the bayonet rings! The fit and finish is well above what I thought it would be. The adapter fits both the GH2 and all of my Canon glass firm and snug, with no wiggle at all. It is tight to remove, but comes off easily with even pressure. The release pin pulls back towards the camera rather than pushing in, so this may be the cause of some of the problems other have reported. All in all, this Fotodiox adapter is very high quality and I don't see a need to buy a more expensive brand, unless you need manual iris control, in which case you'll be spending $400+.

So smooth and good
A nice little adapter for my olympus pen lite e-pl5 camera, it works very well with the two lenses a friend gave me, a sigma ef mount 70-300 mm lens made for canon and a canon 28-80 mm and a 28-105mm lens all in canons ef mount, i did notice on the 28-105 mm lens that oddly i had to mount the lens with the red dot in the reverse of the normal way you would mount a camera lens by lining up the red dot. A well machined adapter that is all metal and very solid and has no play at all at the lens mount, i definitely plan on getting other types of adapters in the future and i will definitely be looking at Fotodiox as my first choice.

Great adapters for M43
We use these adapters with our Rokinon Cine Style lenses and our Panasonic Af100. They're cheap enough that we just bought an adapter for every lens, and always store the lenses with the adapters already on them.Sometimes the tiny phillips screws can come loose, so I'd recommend tightening them when you first get the adapter and then checking them every few weeks to make sure they're solid. I'd recommend having an Eyeglass repair kit in your lens case (one that has the little mini screwdriver).Depending on the adapter and the lens, you might have the slightest amount of play between the lens and adapter. This can be remedied with a very small piece of gaff tape on the surface of the adapter, between the lens. Snug as ever.

I'm okay with it...
Well I'm happy that I read some of the reviews before purchasing this product so I was prepared. I own a Panasonic G2. A friend of mine just gave me some of his cheaper Canon lenses but I don't own a canon camera. All EF series 18-55, 75-300, and a canon ultrasonic 28 - 135. My approach to photography is like the uneducated approach some people take when they play a guitar. They don't know or care what the names of the notes or chords they are playing. They just do it. Yeah well that's not me on the guitar but that's me behind a camera! So anyway this adapter did what it was supposed too. It fit exactly on my lenses and then on my camera. Just align the red dots of course. When I want to change a lens, I have to first take the lens with the adapter still attached off of the camera. Then I hold the lens with one hand against my tummy. The other hand i slide the lever to my left and twist to remove the adapter from the lens. Wala! But honestly, I feel like I need to be careful when doing this but it does work and again thank you for those other reviews warning about this. All of the Lenses of course have to have the shoot without the lens feature on in the menu settings of my camera. None of the auto features on the lenses work with my camera of course. So I'm in manual 100%. The 300mmm lens and the 55 mm lens was not very good but I really dug the Ultrasonic lens. Its in manual but I have a nice zoom and then another ring that allows me to sharpen the focus. I don't know what its called. Again, I'm like any dork who knows how to play smoke on the water on a guitar except applied to a camera. So this lens works for me and fiddling with the manual settings I had to learn some of the features ISO and white balance neat stuff. Definitely not for point and shoot action but I like the black and white photos i was getting out of it. I'll stick to my Panny 20mm pancake lens for the point and shoot stuff. All in all this adapter allowed my camera to use a lens it wasn't designed for and in a very useful way. So the product is as advertised and the shipping was excellent.I knocked a star off because of the design of the lever. I think it will hold up fine because I am aware but it doesn't feel that solid. It sticks out, tad bit flimsy. Look at some of the other negative reviews here but at the same time, if your careful with it, you'll be fine.
