Took a few applications but this does work well to remove black stains from wood. It’s not a cure all solution but I would never expect it to work entirely on its own. You should expect to do a little sanding and finish work. The black was completely removed and I believe I’ll be able to get the finish to hide any other discoloration after sanding.

Wow! Rubio Monocoat is just a great company to come up with this product. We had some mysterious dark spots showed up on our white oak kitchen cabinet door and we couldn’t get them off with regular wood cleaner. I bought this from Amazon without a high expectation, but it worked like magic! All the mysterious dark spots are gone! It saved us a lot of money vs the alternative of refinishing the cabinet doors!

I used this product on a large dark watermark on my wood countertop. Although the mark wasn’t completely removed, it lightened it several shades to the point where it’s not as noticeable. Will definitely use this again!

Cat puked on bay window sill and I did not notice in a timely manner. Left black circles by time discovered. Tried assorted wood products and internet suggestions which did nothing. This product lightened the stain to a point. Applied four times a few days apart. First three applications lightened the stain. Fourth application did nothing. So. It's good that it did something when nothing else did anything. It's not good because it didn't finish the job.

Works well. Removed water stain on wood floor.
