Fish eyes
Had I known about this device sooner, I would not have needed my portable Garmin fish finder. I am no expert on fish finders, I can only tell you that as my first fish finder ever, I am very happy to have purchased this castable fish finder. I needed to change the fish symbols to show as fish or else I could not have understood what I was seeing. Paired the app. with my phone, very simple. I have braided line with heavy duty swivel to make sure I don't lose it. Maybe the GPS version would be worth it should it be lost, mine is not GPS and I am happy with my investment. It works very well. Can take it shore fishing or on a boat. If you have a raft or one-man boat to fish in then get this thing.

Helpful but…
Give you a pretty good idea of where the fish are. The only down side, it is hard to talk which direction the fish are moving past the unit so you know where to cast around it. Some of the cheaper units are just as effective so you are definitely paying for the name. Built solid and long range so I can’t complain but if you are new to these, start with a cheaper model first and try it out.

Works great
Took this on a fishing trip to Canada for a rented boat. Works well. Battery lasts about 8-10 hr. Good picture on my phone and accurate. Worked well with my IPhone 14. Easy to use

Neat little device but disappointing App.
Pretty neat little device but the app needs some serious rework...Can't speak for the iOS one, I've only tried the Android one.The puny little sliders to manually adjust the depth and gain are absolutely ridiculous. To fine tune the depth you need to adjust a little slider where a slight movement of about 1-2 mm on the screen makes the depth jump from 3 feet to 20 feet. Ridiculous.... You need a slider for coarse adjustments, then "Up" and "Down" buttons for finer adjustments.Ditto for "gain" settings....First of all, if "auto gain" and "auto depth" worked like they should, you wouldn't need to play with these tiny sliders to begin with....GPS position is jumpy and takes a bit of time to eventually stabilize...Quickdraw Contour works pretty good, as long as you have good depth detection and GPS position, of course.Overall rating:Maybe 6 or 7 out of 10. Device itself has potential, but the App itself is baaaaaaaaaad....I hope they fix it soon! This is pretty neat device to have when jumping from hole to hole looking for fish on the ice.... But the imaging quality will never equal what you get with a 'real' sonar. I have a 73sv UHD2 and I'm spoiled. :)

Good fish finding tool
Great tool for bank fishing. Very easy to use, and the graphic are clear and easy to understand. If you always wanted a way to locate fish without a boat , this is an option.
