Great food = Happy Dog
My dog absolutely loves this kibble. He also seems to have more energy and overall seems to be just what our senior dog needed. He is a 12.5 year old Havanese mix.

Small size. My jrt loved this.
Only kibble my senior jrt would eat. He has now crossed over. I trust RC products. My two senior rescues are now eating the xsmall 12+. Again, only kibble they will eat. And they have very few teeth left!! They eat lots of soft, fresh home cooking and veggies, but i can hear the munching.

The Only Dry Dog Food I Buy
Before I got my dog, I was asking my friends what great dry dog food do they recommend. My friend, who's worked in Vet clinics and the like recommended me this brand Royal Canin. Royal Canin has many different nutrition profiles for all kinds of dogs. My dog was 12 years old when I adopted her and I know that senior dogs have special nutritional needs that pertain to aging. Surprisingly, I've had a difficult time finding this dog food in-person, but thanks to Amazon I was able to find this brand online. The kibbles are relatively small and, even with my dog's small amount of teeth, she is able to eat the kibble with ease and no bleeding (from gums). I mix Royal Canin with a spoon of wet food and add water. Even though she can eat dry kibble, I do like to add some water to soften it.The price is reasonable for what you get. Please do your dog a favor and buy this food! Royal Canin has a bunch of profiles for age and size of your dog. This dog food is definitely worth it.

Good quality
I have a senior cairn terrier dog and she had started to dislike her food, so I was looking at other high quality dog foods that are available. I purchased this one - intrigued by the concept of special formulations for breeds. They don't have a cairn terrier breed specific one that I could find, nut senior small dog definitely also fits the bill. My dog can be picky and she enjoys this. She lost a couple of teeth in an accident a year or so ago (bottom teeth) and doesn't seem to have any issues eating this at all. She also doesn't lay in front of her bowl staring at it, hoping it will suddenly change into salmon (she gets salmon in the mornings). That's what she had started to do with her last kibble. In addition to that, I've noticed she seems to have more energy. Noticeably more. Nothing else has really changed... besides her being on her second bag of this food (I waited to write the review).

Great food or treat for small senior dogs
I Give them to my 15 year old dog as treats to get more nutrition into him. They are not as soft as I hoped they would be, so I break them for him.

Worth the price
My dog has lost weight and has better over energy coat and health. I believe I’m saving money in the long run compared to the other brands I was using.

My dog ate it relatively well
I'm guessing it tastes good because my dog ate it but I can't vouch for the flavor or the ingredients. On the other hand, Royal Canin appears to be a good and reputable brand. My dog, a 13 year-old poodle-terrier mix, eats it up happily.
