I needed a refresher and this book provides it all. Dr. Shintani breaks it all down on his period Webinar’s as well. Western Medicine doesn’t teach Nutrition because most Drs. were never schooled in Nutrition. Dr. Shintani is the 1st Dr. I’ve come across who has knowledge of Nutrition & shares the complete science as well as how it affects the anatomy & physiology of the body. Hippocrates said: “Let food be thy medicine.” That is how Dr. Shintani presents it. The book goes into how to use certain foods to fight certain ailments. I was raised like this & the book reinforces the knowledge learned. American’s have the worst diet. I watched statistics of diabetes, heart disease, strokes increase over 5 decades while working in medicine. It’s due to poor diet & people eating processed foods. This book brings one home to real whole food & how to eradicate disease process. It’s an easy read, but for those who lack science just pay attention, you’ll understand it.

Outstanding!
This book goes far beyond diet to cover all aspects of life. I'm slowly absorbing each chapter and I find quite a lot to consider. I am putting his plan in action for my own health and wellbeing.

Concise and doable
I needed this book to begin my healthy life style. Dr. Shintani is so knowledgeable and easy to follow, Just enough stats and I recommend this for anyone wanting to get off red meat

We need to learn, unlearn and RELEARN
I highly recommend this book. Learning to unlearn bad eating habits allowed me to transition into a healthier lifestyle- This book is excellent for the newbie to health and wellness as well as the seasoned health nut who needs to update old information and relearn ways to stay healthy and happy. It is all about taking care of the total person-- we are multifaceted individuals who need to remember to heal the WHOLE body to be truly healthy. Easy to read.

Healthy Eating
He gives the best simple explanations I have ever seen about healthy whole food plant based eating. No getting bogged down with heavy science, and is completely in line with the authors who do go heavy on the science. I loved his use of quotes from historical figures and religious teachings. He also has a large focus on spirituality.

Do Not Buy From this seller. It's a scam. The contents of the book appear's to be a children's story book written in spanish language.
