This is well made, but has some flaws that make it almost unusable.Pros:- nice short plug means it’s not sticking way out of your dash when plugged in.- good construction, reasonably good wire, moulded connections.Cons:- does not stay in the car’s plug well, and the short lead means all the weight is on the plug, so pulls itself out regularly- very short lead. Like a couple inches. So short that your other device plugs will be hanging from your dash.If they added a bit of grippy stuff to the plug, so it stayed in the dash better, and made the lead a reasonable length so the devices plugged into this splitter could sit on the floor, or at least on a seat, this would be a great device.As it stands, it’s not worth the price 😕

I've bought some extenders and splitters from places like Canadian Tire before and they were all very flimsy and never lasted more than a year or so. I've just received the two I ordered yesterday and I have to admit I am VERY impressed with the quality of the build and materials. Wires and sockets are thick and robust and the unit seems very robust. They look like they'll last forever. They may be a little more expensive than the "run of the mill" units, but from what I can see, well worth it! Note that these are pretty thick and heavy so if you're looking for something unobtrusive and light, these are NOT for you.

I should have heeded the other reviews. I thought those reviews that mentioned the photos were misleading was for the 12V extension and not for the splitter.The actual product does not have the fuse and the female cables are in a Y configuration instead of a U config.Not totally a waste of money, but annoyed at being misled.

I first saw this in amazon.com for $9US and a good portion of the 900 some positive reviews. I was so impressed. I checked it at amazon.ca, it cost $20. After 3 months, the price dropped to $13, so I got it.I used this for my GPS and to charge my cellphone and to power my dash-cam. It worked perfectly. I would highly recommend this product quality wise and if the price is on sale at amazon.ca.

The product itself seems well made. However, the male end is too narrow and would not contact socket properly or at all. The only thing holding it in place was gravity, as the socket I intended to use it in has a slight downward angle. It would not make contact, so I don't know if it even works!
