Great gun for a Nerf maniac!
My son LOVES nerf guns. He added this to his collection. It was quite pricey but he loves it mostly because it is lever action. It's pretty durable so far. We will see how long it lasts.

Great gun with expansion capabilities
This blaster is a lot of fun! I'll start with what I like. The build quality is top notch- this toy feels like it will withstand a lot of abuse, and so far it has. It uses the standard Nerf magazine so you can (and should) buy an upgrade. There is also a rail on top for an add-on scope (it should use the standard Modulus parts). The lever action works well, although it's hard for a smaller child (3 or 4 years old) to use. If your darts are in good condition (not smashed or damaged) it doesn't seem to jam hardly at all. When it does jam, there is a small door on the top to access the mechanism and remove the stuck dart. The range is pretty good, on par with what the specification say. You probably won't get hurt unless you get hit in an eye, which I obviously don't recommend. The lever action lets you shoot darts at a pretty rapid pace, which means you'll run out very quickly with the small clip they give you.Now for the negatives. The gun is actually kind of awkward to hold. If you hold it like the guy in the picture, your hand will get in the way of the cocking lever. However, holding it at the front of the gun isn't great either because there's only a small space to put your hand. Also, when the gun does jam, it sometimes can be really hard to get the darts out. I've actually had to tear apart two darts to remove them. Fortunately jamming is infrequent so long as you use darts that are in good shape. I should also mention that changing out magazines is kind of awkward. You have to pull the lever all the way forward, then pull back on the magazine release catch. To replace a magazine, make sure the lever is all the way forward, and push it in. The only other downside is the small magazine, but really it's standard for a gun like this and it's better than nothing.Overall this blaster is a ton of fun and I recommend it despite a few niggles.

Great fun for all (and the tragic loss of houseplants)
This was a great life saver in two ways:One, my son and his stepdad have bonded so close while shooting each other, stampeding through the house to find each other to shoot, or taking aim at my house plants, picture frames, and laughing together like a pack of wild hyenas. If the zombie apocalypse arrives, these two will be prepared! And Two, I've had a kink in my neck for weeks, but the shaking of my head black and forth due to the antics of my son and husband with this rifle (I bought another shortly after this one)....got it to pop! Yay!10/10 will be buying more for my nephews to join the fun!

It is relay easy to cycle My take on it
According to my 6 YO:It is relay easy to cycleMy take on it:It is the right size for 6 YO, it is fairly accurate once you figure out the drop of the dart. I manage to hit targets as they run around every time :-)It is durable, the cycling mechanism is a bit flimsy as all parts are plastic. So your lever is thin and long, therefore there is bilateral action left/right as you cycle the 'bolt', if you are not careful you will not fully cycle and will feel like being stuck. Well I did not break it yet neither did my kids..

Works great. The level action is smooth and satisfying
Bought this for nerf wars with my little brother. Works great. The level action is smooth and satisfying, but I'd recommend reinforcing the level before doing 1 handed cycling, it feels bendy and is probably easy to snap.Gun is as accurate as those $15 revolvers that Nerf sells. Wasn't really expecting anything better. Gun has loops for a sling so you can carry this over your shoulder. Has a rail at the top for scopes and accessories. Magazine is your standard nerf mag, so you can stick a drum into this and go nuts.Overall, good for the price, though I recommend reinforcing the level because that's definitely the weak point of the gun and will be the first thing to break if you start showboating.

Ol' semi-reliable
I really, really dig the aesthetic to this blaster. Super cool to have something that looks like you're here to lay down the law to some zambies and post apocalyptic bandits! The star of this blaster is definitely the lever action. Not very practical for a nerf war since you have to take your trigger finger/hand and move it to prime the blaster. It shoots well enough like most spring powered blasters and it's nice to have a magazine to quickly reload several darts with if you want to put a larger (highly recommended) 18 dart mag in there. The main complaint I have is that if you don't fully complete a forward prime and try to pull back on the lever, it can lock up the blaster. This can happen to the point where you may need to take apart the blaster in order to resolve it. Usually you can just continue to push forward to finish the prime, and then it will draw back. However, I had one that must have happened at just the wrong moment because it caused a serious jam that wasn't accessible through the jam door...oddly enough. Overall a very fun blaster, but can be a bit tricky to operate.

It is a lever action Nerf Gun! Get it!
Great nerf gun! Being an "adult kid", the novelty of a lever action nerf gun is why I bought it for myself. It is so fun to shoot and play with my nephews! I feel like a cowboy! The only knock is that I can see eventually where the lever will break off after heavy use. It seems pretty flimsy. But for something I got for $20, that is not a bad deal. Also the removing of the magazine seems to be awkward.
