Works in my Windows desktop SAS build!

I had a SAS card installed into my desktop windows build with 8 drives attached, no problem. However, I needed to attach more drives, so I got this SAS expander. Considering the description said it was for HP Proliant servers, I wasn't sure if it would work on my non-server (X399) desktop build, but I'm pleased to report it does. After connecting all the cables, I booted into Windows, and all 15 of my drives were detected by the OS, with no troubleshooting, or special drivers needed

Excellent expander card!

Best value for your money!Working out of the box. I'm not a high and user, do I didn't bother upgrading firmware but my transfer speeds are good. If you are just looking to add more drives without a lot of hassle, this is for you.The card was as good as new. The seller sent it in no time and perfectly packed.

Best kept secret on Amazon

I been looking for a card like this for months. 3 Amazon customer service reps. has no idea this card exists (1 rep for each card I returned). I went through 3 other more expensive cards trying to extend my $400 LSI 9201-16e ports and found this on a forum, checked its product number on Amazon. This card now supports 24 drives, using just 1 port on my 9201 for this card. Amazing. My rig now has 120 TB of storage.
