The more I use the FAMGEE stove, the more I like it because it's exceptionally engineered and looks very shiny and attractive. I like how the spring loaded legs fold out and back in, also if you flip the FAMGEE stove over you can fit a FRANGIA and use the stove for a FRANGIA and other similar alcohol stoves.The FAMGEE is the size of a baseball, and is shiny, beautiful, blooms quickly and efficiently, boiled 5 cups of water in nine minutes and the stove stand is the best part because the legs are spring loaded. I have three frying pans going when I cook and make breakfast and coffee for the family. These camp stoves look very nice. Avoid isopropyl alcohol as the isopropyl soot will dirty up the FAMGEE.The SECOND best part is when you go to use the FAMGEE, no assembly required, you don't assemble anything ... you turn out the spring loaded legs and fire up the stove. Burns very hot. I boiled a room temp 1.2 liters of water with 95% ethanol. It took 6 minutes. I'm not familiar these types of stoves so I don't know long these normally take but I feel 6 minutes is very good. TIP: After it gets really going with 95 ethanol, it will start to spit tiny droplets of alcohol out and they'll land within a few inches of the burner. Could have been very dangerous if those droplets landed on tissues or napkins. I'd imagine it would be a fire hazard if you used it on a non fire safe surface. To remedy this, I added just a small splash of water to the alcohol and it burned better without spitting out the alcohol. NOTE: To get that 6 min boil time. I did use a heat exchanger pot. They hold the heat well and uses it efficiently. I'm going to try 91% isopropyl one of these times to see how that burns. I'm hoping since its not 99%, it wont splatter like my 95% ethanol does. I'm concerned that it wont burn as hot. We will see. For now, I'll use slightly watered down 95 to 99% ethanol as I know that works fine. 5 stars if it didn't spit burning alcohol droplets out onto the table.

For what it is, it is good! As others have mentioned, it does use fuel quickly and is only one setting (high). It boiled my water really quickly at freezing temperatures in the camp. You could make your own out of a can (search alcohol can stove) but this is a bit nicer with steel and fold-out legs and pot stand. Super portable and cooking alcohol is cheap. You can use sterno too, at least it worked for me.

This is a combination of 2 different style alcohol stoves which separate are excellent. This one however over burns fuel and sends heat into the wrong places. It will boil water fast, but only burns for 10 minutes due to the fuel consumption. After a few times the upper ring will melt and separate, rendering useless.

The media could not be loaded. Mobile and great heat for cooking food... I placed it in a plate on the ground for stability, slightly challenging to keep a pan stable while turning food. Uses a lot of alcohol, which is fine for the heat trade off... I wanted a stove that could do more than heat water.... and for the price....perfect... knowing there are trade offs price/weight... efficiency/ heat.... etc... it did what I needed to do... probably wouldn't be my go-to backpacking stove, but my intentions were to use it as under tarp- cooking in rain while a camp fire was not practical while on short backing trip. I used about 8 oz fuel to cook dinner

boils water in 5-7 minutes depending on volume of water. flame must be lit twice everytime after about 4 minutes, dont know why. must empty alcohol after use cuz there is no seal.

Good little stove for emergency. Well made.
