Big and sturdy; perfect with a few modifications
I'm glad I bought this stand for my African grey, but recommend making specific adjustments to avoid things getting pooped on unnecessarily (namely the back ladders, swing and a bar towards the back of the stand).Although the instructions could have been broken down into a couple more steps than the two pictured, it was still easy enough to assemble. I like how sturdy the stand is even when you try to wiggle it around. It's also taller than I expected, which isn't at all a bad thing. It certainly gives you lots of room for toys and your parrot ample opportunity to climb around. From what I understand, the stand normally comes with 4 ladders and 2 cups. I bought it used from Amazon Warehouse and it came with several of these accessories missing. Luckily, I was already planning on modifying the stand and leaving out some parts, so this wasn't a big deal for me. I'm certainly not going to fault the stand itself for how the warehouse handled this specific used product. Before I even bought this stand, I figured my grey would constantly poop on the ladders at the back of it, since she'd mostly be facing away from the wall. I was therefore only going to use one long and one short ladder anyway (which was conveniently exactly what I received). As it was also most certainly going to get pooped on, I never even attached the swing. Like other potential left-over accessories of a complete product, I can see it working quite nicely as an add-on to your bird's cage, though. That's what I plan to do with her swing, at least. The missing bowls were easily replaced and I think I actually prefer the ones I'm using because they take up so little space.I'm overall very happy with this stand and can only see one flaw in how you're supposed to put it together: After a few days, it became obvious that my grey would, more often than not, poop directly onto the hindmost black bar at the middle of the stand. But, thankfully, removing this bar doesn't seem to have affected the stand's stability at all. If this had made the stand less sturdy, I would have considered this a serious design flaw and lowered my rating. But it's still steady as a rock, so I don't really see this as a problem, to be honest. I simply recommend you never add it in the first place.Using my custom set-up, I find the stand fairly easy to clean; I typically just put a big piece of cardboard on top of the gutter and some newspaper on the seed guards to catch her droppings. This keeps the mess to a minimum and is much easier to deal with than the stand I used previously. All in all, this stand is very sturdy, surprisingly big (it's taller than me) and easy to assemble and modify. A few simple adjustments make the clean-up a breeze. And last but not least: My bird loves it.

My bird loves it, great for the price
This is an excellent deal, because I haven’t found a comparable play stand for less than twice the price or more. It’s bigger than I thought it would be. Perfect size for my cockatoo. There’s a lot you can do to jazz it up if you add extra perches and ladders, to keep it interesting for your bird.If you follow the directions, putting it together isn’t hard. There were only a couple small issues that don’t affect my rating. Some of the screws to the ladder rungs had fallen out during shipping, and the screws were in the box, but they wouldn’t stay when I tried putting them back in because the hole was too loose. I used cable ties to tie them on there, but later I’ll go in and drill holes to use bigger screws. I couldn’t attach the bottom of one of the ladders because the screw holes didn’t line up, so I had to use a cable tie.I like the skirt that goes around the sides because it catches the poop. But if you want to move the play stand to a different room, it won’t fit through the door unless you remove it.Overall, this is pretty sturdy, with the exception of the wooden rungs on the ladders. At least on mine, they were not screwed on very securely because the screws are small, and some of the holes they’re screwed into are too loose, so the screws fall out easily. I’ll probably end up replacing all the screws with slightly bigger ones. Unit won’t easily break or fall over. Metal parts stay in place and don’t move around if you push on them. The other night I tripped and fell on it. It knocked the skirt out of place a little, and didn’t hurt the unit at all. I easily popped the skirt right back into place. Easy to clean. It took a few days for my bird to warm up to it because he’s shy around new things. I put treats in the treat cup to give him motivation to climb it, and that helped.Overall, I’m extremely pleased with this purchase and recommend this play stand. The slight issues I had with it were worth it for the price.

Really happy with the product !
The media could not be loaded. Great for the price, easy to assemble, and the birbby loves it. Still new obviously, but seems to be built pretty solid. There are other reviews here showing ways you can customize making up for some of the design flaws. Wrapping rope around the top bar worked out perfectly. Only concern I had was the shield not fitting flush with the stand, but I had zero issues. I have a DYH Amazon and it's big enough for him. Definitely recommend !

Sturdy, good size for the price
This stand came together quite easily. My one complaint is that one of the holes in the metal rod for the food dish was not punched out, so I can only use one food dish (I know I could return, but I didn't care enough since they have access to food elsewhere anyway). My IRNs were very wary at first, but now will fly to the stand of their own accord. So far, they prefer the main wooden perch the most, and climb around the thick metal bars on the same level. The ladders and the highest perch would be nicer if they were of a thicker metal...it's a bit too thin for my birds to grip and they swing around quite a bit. They're getting the hang of it though! Considering that this top perch is intended to support more toys, it really should have been made of more substantial metal...it wobbles quite easily, and my birds are on the smaller/medium end of the parrot spectrum. Eventually, I may augment the top perch by whipping some rope around it. Adding the wooden ladder (in my photo) seemed to give them a bit more stability and drew their interest to the top perch more. I really enjoy having a "bird area" outside of the cage where I know they can be entertained and have their mess somewhat contained. While I do think there could be some design improvements, overall, this is a nice stand and I would recommend it (although not for a heavier/bigger bird). It's tall enough that it has height to make the birds secure, but doesn't take over the whole room.
