For the cost, this is a great vacuum. It is light weight and has great suction. My home is mostly wood floors and I had to dial down the suctions and adjust the height of the heat to carpet, because it wanted to suction to the floor making it a little hard to push (I'll set it back to high and down on the floor when I want to do a little resistance training). This by no mean diminished the pickup power. You could see the dust and cat hair being picked up all around the head.It is quiet too. Dialing down the suction power even makes it quieter. When we first moved to this house I had a shop vac doing the job. Noisy and heavy! I would chase the cat from room to room because she had no place to hide from that beast. This vac is easy to pull around, quiet and if you needed to carry it, small and light weight. The HEPA filter is a plus with wood floors the dust it collects. No more just blowing the dust around.I was concerned at how this would handle carpet, since I have 1 carpeted room. True this doesn't have a beater bar, but the suction seems to get way down deep. I have an upright vac that I normally use on it, and it's old and lost suction power. When I ran this over the carpet I could hear it picking up bits.Over all, it's a great vac at a great price .

Had this for 3-4months now. I bought it after reading a lot of reviews. I have a shepard dog amd was moving into a fully carpeted apartment with a husband that has really bad allergies. I gotta say I absolutely love it. It has such great suction, is light weight which really helps with vacuuming the steps, and the different attachments and adjustable length makes life a lot easier.It seems really well made and secure.

Bought this to replace a 20 year old Eureka Boss, so I am getting used to a different vacuum. Great suction. We have a LOT of dog hair, and this vac does great! Love that the floor tool rotates, so very easy to get under furniture. The floor tool does have a wide swath which is good and bad. It is cumbersome in corners. I love the fact that the accessories fit and store on the wand, but they occasionally fall off while vacuuming. There is a nice little piece on the vacuum base that holds the floor tool and hose together while not in use. Retractable cord is terrific. Several ways to control the suction is very user friendly. I had to watch the video to fully understand how to operate and use all of the tools. So far, very happy with the purchase, as I was hesitant to buy a brand that I had not heard of. Price was good. Maybe deserved a few more stars, but I am too new to the product and used my old vac for a long time.

I had my Electrolux canister vacuum for 20 years before it finally broke apart and died, and I was worried I wouldn't be able to find anything near as good, but I was wrong, the Prolux Tritan not only has the same 3 stage filtration system, but it has MORE suction.First the special bags filter most of the dirt, then a second filter gets the really small stuff before it goes thru the motor, then finally the air passes thru the HEPA filter where the tiniest stuff gets trapped before the air comes out, which is clean clean clean.The Tritan has all the features I need without any stuff I don't. Plenty of attachments for cleaning any surface, rug, hard floor, couch, computer keyboard, you name it and I can clean it. The super long retractable power cord lets me plug in once and clean my whole apartment, and the suction is the best I've seen on any vacuum, so it's great that they have a variable speed dial to help dial it down when needed.Shipping from Amazon was super quick, and the price was right for such an fine vacuum, so the Prolux Tritan gets my highest recommendation.

This product has a fabulous motor and is quite heavy but it doesn't clean a carpet worth anything. My sharpXL that I paid about $100 for picks up about an inch of dirt after using the triton. The hole that the roller head has to accept dirt is so small that no wonder that powerful motor does not the job.

This is a very powerful vacuum cleaner so it is useful for some jobs around the house but too cumbersome to use on stairways. I have another small vacuum cleaner without wheels that I can use on my stairs. The small attachments holder that attaches to the long tube attachments is very awkward when using this vacuum because it hits the furniture and the small pieces fall off easily, which is annoying. I moved it up higher but it is still in the way. Unfortunately it can't attach to the canister so I just took it off, but now I have to go back and forth to get the small attachments when needed. The 2 big floor attachments have no instructions for their intended use so it is all trial and error, which is time consuming and I still don't know what setting or which one to use on rugs because they both suck the larger area rugs right off the floor and they are not able to be used for smaller area rugs at all. I don't have wall to wall carpeting but I haven't had much luck using it with my large area rugs, even when I lower the suction to the minimum setting. I have gone back to using my small hand-held vacuum for most things because I need to do a quick vac job before I babysit for my little grandson and I just haven't had much time to figure out the best use of this new vacuum and it various unlabeled attachments. I bought it because the smaller one that I had on wheels (for several years) suddenly let go and couldn't be repaired so I searched online and ordered this one. I like the wheels because it is hands-free but I am unsure about the usefulness of the 2 floor attachments.
