Sea-Doo OEM Speed Tie, 295100885

This is about a 6 hour project for a seasoned DIY’r and is a 9 of 10 in difficulty. Instructions are not in the box, necessitating you to download 16 pages and the template (get the scaling right). I found the instructions poorly written and difficult to follow. It necessitates removing the trim and the rub rail, drilling holes and torqueing down fasteners to specifications and using a “fish tape” to snake the ropes through the rub rail around the entire circumference of the Sea-doo. More than likely the front tie down case (fits starboard only) will cover up your boat’s registration numbers, so be prepared to replace those. BRP really needs to produce a YouTube video to help with installation. Also the engineers forgot that the built in clip for the Sea-Doo cover which clips over the rub rail won't clip due to the location of the front tie down housing (consider changing the tie down location before you install). By contrast, I installed speed ties on a 2017 RXT, which was a breeze. I hope I really love these.
